What's been said is it, can't be...

This isn't some small project some nerd whipped together in 3D Studio Max in the past couple days. This would have taken weeks to do for an expert, given that they knew the layout from day one.

There's only one person that could model the park up with that much detail and insight about the ride layout, and his name is Keith McVeen. And since his company, 3Dvip, is basicly the animation firm for all amusement parks' ride promotional material, it's extremely unlikely that this isn't 100% genuine.

Guys, plain and simple...this is Maverick.

Bluestreak64, you have a point. I think it just makes more sense to wait until Thursday to see for sure, since bickering over this is pointless. I'm just saying that 95 degrees and 107 feet is within the realm of possibility

What has other Intamin Concept art looked like in the last 2 years? I want to compare. If you have some, PM me the links

Ride "promos" like this aren't done by the coaster designer or manufacturer. They're done by the park for marketing.

The ones done by the designer or manufacturer are probably very crude and just used to give the client (CP) an idea of what the ride experience will be like.

hall nailed it on the head there. Some ride design firms actually use NoLimits (I'm pretty sure I've seen official GG and GCI stuff done in NL) to give computer models to the parks. 3Dvip, like CP bound said, is the 3D modeling firm for amusement parks in terms of promo stuff and concept art now. Compare the styles of the concept art on their website to the concept art for Maverick; it is the exact same style. Lines on edges of buildings, building detail, all match up with their current work.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

The image clears up a lot of questions, but everything else such as, logo, trains, queue theme, the extent of the theming, and the official name. I'm still looking forward to Sept. 7. This just made this weekend go by a lot faster.

You guys want to know if that concept art is legit? Simple way to find out, try posting a link. You think Walt and Jeff have been going crazy trying to block out that concept art over an enthusiast made mock-up that isn't right?

How would they know if it's legit or not?

I found one problem to the photo that may just be a mistake or can prove its fake. Where is the electrical shed?

It is possible to do a 95* drop on this. It would just need trim brakes at the top. It could also be a tilt coaster type thing that isn't in the artwork.

Artist renderings are never 100% correct.

It's there. There's a bunch of shrubs/trees around it.. but you can clearly see the roof shape.

It would be really nice to be able to walk along the paths, which are probably just service trails, under the coaster, leading from URDade back to frontier town. Those would be great photo spots. But, they probably are just that...service paths. sigh.

All the footers line up exactly, it makes sense, the surounding details (ie: Mean Streak, Wave Swinger, Skyhawk, Town Hall, the Railroad) are perfect, BUT the electrical building can't be seen IT'S A FAKE!1! :) Seriously, come on. When you make comments like that, you're just going to feel really stupid come Thursday. Along with our 500 foot fan club.

Wait, its going to be 500'?????????

I thought it was going to be 700' because a seasonal worker told me and my friends!!!11!

I'm still hyped for Thursday in spite of the "spoiler".

I mean a lot of people including myself knew certain key points to 'Sith' before it was released, but did that mean I missed the midnight showing and waited for DVD? Heck no!

Gomez, I mean the little things that people always point out as being wrong in the artist renderings.

I actually read on another site that CP is going to redesign the ride now because of this leak. :sigh:

I think the Trains will be like Italian Job ST, but instead of beautiful Mini's, they will be Mine Cars.

Btw, the electrical building is visible, it's semi-hidden behind some trees.

BirdofPrey00,

wow. don't even get me started on the map thing...the things I've heard..lol
