Who will get what?

Were do you think the rides will land? While is pretty much a given where Dominator and Thunderhawk will go but how about the others.

Here's my guess

Headspin-Carowinds

Double Loop- Valleyfair

Villain-Cedar Point {i wish} maybe Worlds of Fun or Dorney. But more likely it will land in the scrapheap and will as RWB and tragically the Big Dipper.

The family steel coaster will land somewhere. Who in the chain needs one?

Texas Twister- CP

El Dorado- Kings Island

Americana -KI KD or Carowinds. Not currently have a ferris wheel type ride.

The log flume will probably get the ax and it seems to be falling apart anyway.

I doubt that Texas Twister will go to CP.

Millennium Force
The Future is Riding On It.

Double Loop will probably be scrapped or sold.

Other then Thunderhawk, Michigan's Adventure should get all the kids attractions in good condition and make a Camp Snoopy out of them, including Beaverland.

Americana could go to KI, KD, Carowinds, or even Knott's cuz all they have is a kids ferris wheel.

As for giving Geauga Lake some love. I would hope that they are given Flying Supersaturator.

Kings Island- El Dorado, Hay Bailer maby the Ferris Wheel.

Double Loop scrap because its too old roller coaster to go to nowhere but scrap. and Dominator go to cedar point or kings dominion or kings island. head spin scrap. Texas twister scrap i hate that ride. Villain go scrap

There are three CF parks that don't have an antique carousel (WOF, MiA and Knotts Great America). The latter had one at one time but Paramount sold it. It's been restored and running in Seattle. I can see them moving it to one of these properties versus selling it outright. The market for antique machines has been severely depressed for both whole and parted out machines for a number of years.

Not that they need it, but there used to be a Carousel at Cedar Point where U.R. Dade Mortuary School is during Halloweekends. The rest of the year it's just used for storage. It'd be cool there too.

That was the Frontier carousel, it came from Lake Lansing Park, Haslet MI, in the early 1970's. It now operates at Dorney Park, where it replaced an antique machine that was destroyed by fire previous to Cedar Fair's purchase of the park.

I hope that cp gets Texas Twister, Time Warp, Head Spin, and Star Fish.

^ I hope Cp gets every ride in the whole world!!!!1111

Let's Get Weird.

Honestly, a lot fo the rides I don't really want CP to have. CP does not need a third woodie, so Villian and RWB would not work out. I would love to see TT or the flume.

^ - actually they do....but CP isn't getting a hand me down.

^We actually really don't. I mean why add a THIRD rough coaster to the park? And I mean they could get a hand me down. I actually really think we will get one of GL's rides for 08'.

JuggaLotus's avatar

Because a good wooden coaster isn't rough. It's not steel smooth, but it isn't supposed to be Parkinsons rough.

Go ride Thunderhead or Beast or Voyage (so I'm told). Those are what wooden coasters are supposed to be.

Are you saying that rough woodies cause Parkinsons or make you feel like you have Parkinsons?

I have a question. Since Double Loop was erected on site how can they remove it? I know it can be done since Corkscrew is now somewhere over seas.

i just re-read one of the blogs from tony and tyler, the one that was the "tease". they put in quotation marks the word "backstage". did any of geagua lakes rides name resemble that? just curious.

Don't send the kiddie rides to MiA, thats all the park has. Send them Thunderhawk, it's been 8 years since they got a coaster and those were Big Dipper and Mad Mouse. The last thing that park needs is another kiddie coaster so don't send them Beaver Land Mine Ride.

CP might get Texas Twister, that's it. They won't get a coaster from GL because they don't have the room to just place an already designed coaster. All their coasters are designed to fit in the park, not the other way around.

I'd love to see Dominator at MiA because that's my home park but it will probably find it's way to either Kings Dominion or Great America. GA just doesn't get any love from anyone, and Dominator would give me more of a reason to head out that way, I love that ride.

Double Loop could be saved and sent off somewhere. I could see possibly Dorney because they don't have an Arrow Looper. But it's also Double Loop, so who knows.

RWB just isn't in the shape to move. Which is a shame because they just picked up that g-train for it. But we've seen bigger surprises.

I think that the best park for the job of picking up Big Dipper would be Knoebels. I'm not the biggest fan of that place, but it would fit right in, and they have the room for it. "Oh Kennywood should get it!!" Please, where? KW is another one of these parks that has to get rides designed for that park.

Throw Head Spin away, throw all Vekoma Boomerangs away!!

Villain is a fun ride, and shame on anyone that says otherwise. I'd like to see that ride at MiA as well. Folks here in West Michigan would flock to that place if they announced a new coaster let alone 2 new coasters.

Beaver Land Mine should head off to Worlds of Fun due to them not really owning a true kiddie coaster. It should never find it's way to MiA, DP, KI, or CP because they have enough kiddie coasters.

I think that Flying Supersaturatorwould be great at the new GL, kind of a twist to the normal water park.

A few of the flats could be moved around, but I wouldn't cry over it if they scraped them. Cedar Fair could do a lot with their other parks with the rides at GL. As much as I loved GL, we all saw this coming. I'm sad but not surprised. Once Premiere bought GL and then SF it was over for that little gem.

Oh one more thing, I hope they bring Andre Ransom, the rides manager, to MiA. He used to be there and he was amazing. Brandon Becker is good but he's no Andre.

MiA needs more coaster rides i think.

I Have never been to geauga lake from what I'm hearing from people around my town that took a trip out there, I didn't miss much. But that is their opinion. I wanted to try to make it out there next year but that dream is shattered. Every coaster to me that I have rode has good points and bad points. But as for the rides being moved to other parks. CF needs to think it out and not blow the bullet to quick. Sure send a ride to CP if they wish but make surte its something someone will ride. KI dont need anything Kids rides or roller coasters. They just need to fix it up some. MIA needs a new coaster and a few flats. Those are the only CF parks I have been to. not sure what the others are lacking or have to much of.
