Wicked Twister Brakes

Hi,
I have always wondered, since WT doesn't have any brakes in the station, only on the front section of track, how does the train completely stop after it comes back into the station? Do the LIMs reverse the power to stop the train or does it get stopped another way?

To my knowledge doesn't twister have brakes in the station in case of e-stop and to hold the train in the station prior to dispatch...maybe I'm wrong I never worked with area 1 stuff really

If there are brakes in the station, then where?
Because on the front track area, there are the retractable brakes but in the station there are not any to my knowledge.

There are NOT brakes in the station. Wicked Twister has 'contact plates' which are raised when enabled along with the launch track brakes (prior to dispatch), and lowered when parked in the station (the smack noise you hear when the train stops in the station right before all of the harnesses are unlocked). These contact plates are for the harnesses. If the person at the back of the station is enabling the train (allowing the contact plates to be in the 'up' position, not in contact with the train), then there is no way the operator in controls can release harnesses.

To my knowledge of working Twister a couple seasons, the LIMs reverse with minimal force and power until the computer reads that the train is in home position. Then, the brakes from the launch track and the contact plates are lowered.

Still have yet to see an e-stop from the rear spike, I've seen a front spike stop, never a rear though

What do you mean an e-stop from the rear/front spike? Sorry, just confused on that a little.

(By the way, Twister uses Quick Stop. An E-stop would cut off all power to the ride. E-stop is to never be pushed on Twister unless there's flames coming from the train.)

Like for if you have a light curtain break on the ride and the ride sets up, I've seen it happen on the front spike when it rolled back and hit the brakes, but never off the rear spike, but I'm sure it's pretty damn violent.

And learned something new, I never got a chance to work much up in Area 1 so nifty...Hell I've barely seen pics of twisters panels, just small shots of it...would be quite interested honestly :)

I had a stop from the back spike on what was then Superman: Ultimate Escape at Six Flags Ohio.

It was quick, and pretty jarring. We stopped somewhere half in the station and half in the launch, and had to be evacuated via ladder, fill out our names on a clipboard, etc. It was a good time.

Yeah I've been on it when it comes from the back spike and hits the brakes. It's pretty rough. Every time we got an E-stop error, it was usually coming down from the back spike.

So kinda like Top Thrill how those magnetic plates come up when it launches?

Very similar, except the brakes never engage until the end of the ride's cycle, opposed to Dragster's brakes engaging after the train hits a certain section of brakes due to the possibility of a rollback.

On Twister, after the computer sees that the train is on "Swing 5" (basically the final trip up the front tower), the brakes automatically engage and drop down from the track.
