I haven't seen this mentioned, but I thought CP did a really nice job with lunch. Very good food and desserts and it was nice having it in the Lakeside Dinning Room.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

CP did a great job with the lunch. We would like to see food like that in the park all the time.

Rode Corkscrew first year it was open, yes I am that old!

Food was really outstanding. Cedar point are no dummies either. It's smart of them to get that amount of people into the newer lakeside dining areas to show people what they are cable of if people want to host events there. Ive seen the outdoor areas of the new lakeside but did not realize that had that big of an interior space. Definitely not a place I probably would have a chance to go in if not for the tour.

As a secondary funny food note Tony had a pretty good side joke during his presentation that people are always clamoring for healthy food options, healthy food options, healthy food options. ( which is a great idea).

Pause pause pause " but then they go and eat elephant ears and funnel cakes" Got pretty good laugh.

Very basic question that I know someone will know the answer to but how do they now change the ride wait time signs just outside the entrances. While we were sitting waiting to go into the engine house my daughter and I went over to the iron dragon sign. Every one remembers the old days of every one messing around and moving the signs to an hour wait and such but we couldn't figure out how they moved. I don't believe Ive ever seen a CP employee changing them. Only thing I could figure is if they have something they stick in the back of the sign that would assist in spinning the dial.

I thought the lunch was excellent too. It was my first time in the Lakeside Dining Room since it was renovated last year and it's really a much better space with the updates. If they could transfer the food quality of private events like yesterday onto the midway I would be much happier spending money on food in the park.

I attended my first WCO yesterday as well and once again, CP delivered. My wife and I were in the 930 group and were quite pleased with everything the park did for us. The food was excellent, the gift bag was way too kind, and the tour guide Matt was awesome. I didn't get to meet any of you well because I don't know what any of you look like save for Walt and Jeff, but I was the guy who was giving Tony a hard time with the raffle, it got a good laugh when he finally said "well what number do you have?" , and then gives me a prize. Good times, did anybody here recognize Tyler at the Breakers from the old On Point blogs with Tony and Tyler?

This happens throughout the entertainment industry. People may "want" healthy options, but they "like" the junk food more.

I was in your group. I was the one that had the screaming goat go off during Tyler's speech.

Matt was my guide as well. I remember you at the raffle doing that. It's weird that you never noticed me. 2 people from here recognized me from my photo.

I read and post from my phone and it doesn't show me photos.

I noticed you in my group as well thabto. Should have said something. I had an ohio state coat on with my daughter and was always bringing up the rear of the group. Another thing not mentioned yet ( at least in our group) was how mellow our keeping pace with the group was. In years past we had to stay as a pretty tight group walking. ( which was pretty important last year with the snow and the dangerous walkways.) Our group got spread out at times at it was really nice to lounge around and then catch up. Went up on the thunder canyon deck and got some nice pictures of the canal empty. Helps that every listened and we didn't have any goofs doing stupid things. Did anyone else see the phone in the maverick lagoon? The water was way down in the lagoon ( at least 4 feet of the bridge area) and there was an I phone 6S just destroyed sitting on the muddy area. Cracked all to hell and soaking wet. Either has been there since closing and just uncovered or just floated up from the bottom. .

Sometimes the circle was difficult to turn, but we just pressed on the blue part and turned

I was also in the 9:30 group and I'm very appreciative for Shawn, Brian, and Joel for letting me sit with them at the cool kids' table during lunch. I had a great time as this was my first WCO. They definitely delivered on a great overall experience. It seemed like each employee that spoke to us was passionate and take pride in what they do and at least have a great sense of humor about things as well. I'm really excited to see the things that the park announced in its cunning ways to continue to take my money. The Sunrise VIP tour sounds awesome! As well as the Ride Warriors Club. I really hope all of this pans out the way they were explaining it.

Very nice to start connecting with people again. I'm really looking forward to doing more things this summer with you guys.

Glad to hear it was a great time for a great cause! Wish I could've been there instead of starting my kitchen remodel! Hope to see some of you on the midways this summer!

Sounds like it was a great time! I'll make it to one of these some day...

Wish I could have been there too. For me it was painting the family room that kept me at home.

My son & I were in the 9am group with Andrew & Andrew. Thank you to all of the CP employees for making it a great day for all. I really enjoyed the coaster maintenance shop. seeing what all they did to keep the cars going really interested my engineering side. My son enjoyed meeting the Valraven project manager.

I didn't want to create a new topic for this but does anyone know if the park is still selling after 4pm reduced cost tickets this season? I thought maybe it might have been mentioned yesterday. There is nothing about them on the parks website. I will be pretty disappointed if they don't have them this season.

No problem Rob!

There was also nothing said about Joe Cool Cafe yesterday. I remember there being a thread here a while ago that it was closing this year. Looks like that was just a rumor. The signage was all still intact yesterday.

Yeah, for "expanding the employee cafeteria"... sounded like a terrible use for the area.
