PKICentral has just posted some shots of behind Flight of fear taken Dec. 3rd

Does this mean X-Flight will fly down south? *** Edited 12/12/2006 11:29:36 PM UTC by TOPGUN1993***

7 TTD rides.....1 Roll Back
3rd train of the Season on MF! 2007

I think that X-Flight would be a fun ride, however, I really don't want it at Kings Island. Kings Island is my home park and I would really like to see it get a brand new coaster that stands out in the crowd and redefines what Kings Island is. If X-Flight comes to KI then we'll just have to wait longer for a really great new coaster.

I personally think that it would be a good fit for King's Island because i'm going there next summer.

Because THAT's a reason to do it.

I doubt it would go there.

I think there are a couple parks immune to getting hand-me-downs (especially from GL), KI would be one of those.

I'm not an expert, but it does look like that X-Flight could fit in that footprint. I would hope they would keep the ride in Ohio, but the only place it could end up in Ohio is PKI.

That's kind of what I was thinking...the footprint of the ride looks like it would fit in that area that they've cleared.

I'm thinkin' a TON of coasters could fit on that piece of land. From a planning perspective though, it looks like an awful location for a coaster.

With Flight of Fear back there, I don't see the location problem. Even on a not very busy day Flight of Fear is usually really busy, and it is the only ride over where you cross underneath of The Racer. With two rather large roller coasters there it will be even better back in the Coney Mall area!

I think ordinarily I would agree with you, but this isn't an ordinary year. This is the mother of all transition years for CF parks.

In all likelihood, KI wouldn't have gotten any huge new investment this off-season, had it stayed under the CBS/Paramount umbrella. Thus, a hand-me-down coaster (and one of a type new to that market) is better than no coaster at all. Couple that with the extensive re-hab of SOB (with or without its vaunted loop), and that makes for a pretty good basis for marketing in 2007. And since X-Flight had to go somewhere if it were going to make any money for CF next year, it actually is a pretty good fit...but only given these particular circumstances. It's no reason to think CF is picking up SFI's coaster re-cycling habits. (Thank God!)

And I'm still not saying I firmly believe X-Flight is actually going there. Only that there is good grounds to suspect so.

If they are putting something major back there...which, umm, it kinda looks that way, they're going to have to do something about that little dinky path going under the Racer because, like Kristy said, even on a decently-dead dead, FoF's area draws a crowd and that little pathway won't really be able to handle that x2.

I don't think that underpass is considerably narrower than some of the worst pinch points at the Point (or henceforth, Point points). I'm thinking specifically of that bottleneck over by TTD, which always seems to get jammed up, and maybe some of the railroad crossings...particularly the one by Millenium.

Yes thats what a lot of people are saying here in Cincinnati, I think its true to.

They can't widen that pathway unless they chop out more of Racer's structure.

It was said rather its true or not that X-Flight is pose to go to Cedar Fairs Michigans Adventure. So far PKI hasnt said anything about any type of ride coming for 07 so its hard to tell whats going behind Flight Of Fear.

I would love to see Michigan's Adventure get X-Flight!!!

I didn't say they could or couldn't widen that pathway, I was simply making an observation.
Though I agree with Ensign Smith now that I've read his post...CP does have some bottlenecked areas that they get by with.

Dalefan...What??? I don't have a clue what you're "pose" to be saying. I've run your post through a translator in many different languages and I've come up with nothing.

As much as I'd like to see X Flight go to MiA, I highly doubt it will. It's an expensive ride to run. Besides, with PKI clearing land, doesn't it make most sense that it'll be going to PKI?

Pose is short for the word supose. Please dont make fun of my wording. If they was to start building X-Flight back behind Flight Of Fear then they would of started to work on the footings for the coaster and started digging and building the station and running the electric. I am not saying its not gonna happen them getting or not getting X-Flight, its just the timing of everything with them moving and building the ride and all the other stuff. But we all will have to wait and see next year who gets X-Flight.

Maybe King Cobra will be rebuilt on that spot??? That's will bring the guests in!! :)

Or better yet, PKI gets X-Flight and GL gets King Cobra!

^^ I believe the correct word is "supposed". LOL!!

No one has said this coaster is going ANYWHERE in 2007. Maybe its going to be in storage for 2007 and be erected somewhere else in 2008? So, although ground work at PKI could suggest something going there, it by no means proves its X-Flight or even anything for 2007.
