I listen to nothing. Both the radio and sound system haven't worked in my car since 2004. But I'm never bored!

Must have listened to Call Me Maybe 5 times on my last trip.

I've found I have "roll in" music for a lot of events, be it going to the amusement park, going to a big outdoor concert, etc. But for Cedar point, I like to put on some Ennio Morricone, specifically from his spaghetti western period. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, think any late-60s Clint Eastwood movie). His music captures so much of the vastness and haunting qualities of the west, and emphasizes the urgent and dangerous nature of much of those films. I like Ecstasy of Gold, which works perfectly when the skyline comes into sight:

The other one that fits the mood perfectly is Gut Feeling by Devo. That build is just amazing:

Any instrumental surf music is always welcome.

When leaving the park, I usually like something mellow and dream-like, albums like Meddle or The Soft Bulletin.

The path you tread is narrow, and the drop is sheer and very high.

Hey! I LOVE Enya and Moody Blues, too! Also love my girl Janet, as well as Moby, Depeche Mode.....

But, since I'm paying for music in my car, I'm usually blasting the Sirius stations (my faves-80s on 8, 90s on 9, Chill, and Heart n Soul) on the way there and back, but I will also crank whatever cds are in the 6 disc changer as well. It is very important that Enya be played on the way there and not on the way home, or I might end up crashing into a ditch off of the toll road somewhere (Zzzzz)!

fast...Faster...FASTEST!

When going to & from Cedar Point I like jamming to disco, mototown, rythem & blues, & jazz. these kind of music get me more excited about hitting my favorite park.

It's crazy that this topic is brought up... I have a yearly ritual about the music I listen to on the way to CP.

I drive from Nashville, so I have about a 9 hour drive one way.

I always go for the first or second weekend of Halloweekends, and I have a pretty big collection of Halloween music, so I listen to Halloween music there and back to get me in my 'fall mood'. I am able to listen to halloween\horror music for the duration of my trip there and back without any repeated songs.

By the end of the 18 hours in the car of straight spooky tunes, I am ready to start the scaring season!

I went with a buddy last year, and he isn't as big of a halloween fan as I am, so we didn't listen to it as much...and my trip just didn't complete!

My music to and from the park really varies. Sometime's I'll have on the radio, other times I'll have my iPod playing. The genre is usually anything pop, rock, indie, and alternative. If I have my iPod, then on the way Speed of Sound by Coldplay is a good one, since it gets me excited to go fast on the roller coasters, and on the way back, it's Closing Time by Semisonic. It fits the theme.

But usually I just turn on the radio.

89X on the way, listening to Dave and Chuck......

but now it's Cal Cagno, which he is also doing a good job at.

On the way home it's channel surfing, music player, or sleeping.

XM 37 XM59 XM58 XM34 XM60

if your are coming from the west then 89x and 100.7 is the only way to go. Anyother time I just plug the i-pod in.

Jonny Craig, Suicide Silence and Marilyn Manson

Is this another attempt to select songs for Luminosity?
