MrScott; unofficial Mayor of Lighthouse point

I also had to read the post a few times to comprehend what I read. I always shared the love of LHP just at MrScott did and hoped to meet him one day. I'm very upset to hear this sad news. My thoughts are with you and your family.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

It was always good talking with MrScott about our two loves, Cedar Point and Star Trek (hence the 1701 in my sn). Though I never meant him in person, we talked over aim quite regularly last year.

MrScott, the word is given. Warp Speed.

It was with great sadness that I read the post. Even though I don't post often, I visit here every day and always valued Mr. Scott's input. May he rest in peace and finally find his dream coaster. It WILL involve water.

I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Scott in person but enjoyed reading his posts on PointBuzz. He always had great advice on staying at Lighthouse point. He never had a mean thing to say and truly loved Cedar Point. I don't have the words to express how sad we all our about this news. Our condolences are with you and your family during this difficult time.

A sad time indeed, Troy I give you and your family the deepest condolences.

May Mr. Scott live on forever in our hearts and minds. He really was the kindest gentelmen on this forum, and I am glad to have known him in a virtual sense.

Lets all ride one last ride for Mr. Scott.

I know that words can only help so much at a time like this, but I cannot express how much this saddens me. MrScott was always witty and made sense of something for me more than once. I'll miss him.

This is really hard to write.

I wish I'd gotten to meet him in person. I feel like I know him, or at least that tiny window of him that was his Pointbuzz presence. He seldom -- maybe never -- had a harsh word for anyone else on this site. He was one of the people that you look forward to reading the post as soon as you see his screen name. I liked that there was someone else with a Trekkie moniker, and it was an added bonus that he was a nice guy.

I am distressed to hear this news. It's surprisingly hard to process this information.

Our condolences.

Everytime someone posts about how they hear one of our locomotives blast it's whistle from their cabin or cottage in Lighthouse Point, the CP&LE Railroad will always remember Mayor Scott.

Troy, Thank you yet again for the wonderful videos you and the Mayor produced for the Cedar Point community. :)

Your family is in my prayers

This is very sad. The Mayor meant so much to this board. Respects to his memory and all his family and friends.

Gosh, Mr Scott lives in the same town i live in,wish now i had meet him, also my condolences go out to the family,he will surely be missed here, always looked forward to his written comments here :-(.May god bless the Mr Scott family.

I was shocked and saddened to hear this news today. Scott was such a cheerful, intelligent man that I am so glad I got to know.

I'll always remember our Timbers rides together, especially my 1,000th. And his consequent shout-out to me on the radio.

I'm really going to miss his thoughtfulness and wit :(.

Wow; I really don't know what to say. His character, input, and comedic nature will be greatly missed here at PointBuzz.

Well, I must say I am glad I could be apart of making a difference to someone. I am just upset that I never did meet him. I had tried multiple times but never managed to be in Sandusky (Or Dalton Twp) at the same time he was.

I was hoping I'd get a chance to meet him this summer. :-/

My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

My condolences go out to his family.Nothing really prepares family members for a loss such as this.

So sorry to hear this.

My condolences as well. I did not know him as well as some of the others here, but he always brought sunny days here, with every post he made. He will be missed.

This was really tough to read through. Scott helped me with planning my first multi-day trips to the point a couple years ago (he seemed to be really high on the Light House Point cabins) and has been helpful ever since. I never got the chance to meet him, and I really wish I had.

He will be deeply missed.

Goodbye MrScott

John
