announcement date 8/18/15

Halloweekends is a perfect time to do this, if it's name stays the same. Kinda sets the fashion of the theme for the ride.

So, what was the topic supposed to be about here again? Because im confused. Haha!

TTD120 - Tony was also specifically asked about a Halloweekends opening night event and he said there would not be one this year. I'm going to miss the free food at Midway Market and free stuff it was a nice event the last few years. Hopefully they bring it back the next time Halloweekends has a major new attraction.

There's nothing wrong or misplaced with your pride Buckeyeshaman. And there will always be understanding with slight grammar issues coming from typing with ones phone. We've all been there.

And I'm not surprised there won't be a Halloweekends event this year. It really fueled the "enthusiass" community and was met with too much overtly negative criticism directed at the wrong people.

Considering the way some people acted last year, I'm not surprised. I've never seen such displays of entitlement.

This thread really took a dive quickly. I mean, it really got out of hand fast... Hopefully the announcement announcement brings stability back to the force.

Somebody mentioned memorializing the man in the park. Yes, I think we want to remind every guest who bothers to read signs, not many, that someone died here. It's an amusement park, with goals to make people HAPPY. I don't think memorializing a mistake is the right thing to do... I mean to say this in the most respectable way possible to the man and his grieving family. Please don't take this in a bad way, I just can't see this happening.

Perhaps because we're coaster enthusiasts and we enjoy discussing the various unannounced topics of the ride? (Final layout, any possible name change even though we all disagree, various stats, etc.)

^ yeah I don't have anything against OSU (My fandom doesn't really allow for much interaction between the teams) but a Cedar Point forum is not the place to express that obsession he has.

I'd guess the Christmas eve date on the app is a "holding pattern" as the park works out when the announcement for 2016 additions should be made -- because no business in any category is going to make any sort of promotional announcement at midnight on a major holiday.
