Mean Streak?

If they go steel dark green track with the wood would be a good combo...Forest's Revenge...

Arguing about track color before we even know if anything is happening. Only in the coaster world! I'm still all about enjoying Valravn and the last weekend of Brew & BBQ! Live in the moment

Arguing? Pretty sure nobody has been arguing! This is called discussing, and this is the Mean Streak thread, so it seems like the relevant place for such discussion...

CP Maverick, you don't need to worry about this coaster trying to do too much, if other RMCs are any indication. Airtime seems to be the primary goal.

I wonder if "watering the ride" will cease post conversion? Seems silly and wasteful. I bet maintenance has been championing for this longer than some of us!

I would be excited for this possibility. But it would come as a great loss to myself and my family. My dad has always loved this ride. It's more sentimental than anything. I personally have never missed a year in my lifetime (37 years and counting) and my parents haven't missed one since 1967. But I guess you've got to let go of the past.

I'm not sure I follow. Mean Streak is only 25 years old.

I think he's saying he's been going to Cedar Point for the last 37 years. They've ridden Mean Streak 25 out of those 37.

I hope your name isn't Michael Bolton, too.

I l'd like to see yellow track over the wood on Mean Streak personally. Also, anyone worried about an RMC having to much, don't worry. RMCs are airtime machines and even if they have "alot" the inversion's and elements are so unique and fun, plus those rides are smooth has butter. It fly's through everything without a rattle. If you haven't ridden one, my god are you in for a treat.

I wish CP teased as much as KI does for their future attractions.

This is circulating on social media, which is supposedly a GCI coaster for Kings Island in 2017.

Let not forget about Dominion's Hurler... Too.

Whatever they end up doing, just make sure it stays huge as it is now. There aren't many giant woodies left out there. The thing is just awesome to look at if nothing else, hopefully they can make it ride as such when done.

Texas Giant and Rattler didn't get any shorter, so I doubt Mean Streak will. Don't forget, all of the short RMCs were short as wooden coasters, as well.

I was almost certain that KI was getting a giga. They already have a good lineup of woodies, so this is surprising. Also, what's with all of Cedar Fair's plans ALWAYS being leaked? I wish they could keep a secret better.

It's not like they can control it. They had to submit the plans to the city, and somebody went and found them. I don't think that there's much of a way around that.
