Cedar Point Shores

Bottom left corner, They look like colored neon/ LED lights to me....you can see he/she is in a slide, see their feet at the bottom. Tube slide size is the exact size as lake erie nor'easter too. No other CP shores slide is enclosed and is this size in diameter.

Ok, call the cops.
I'm still sticking with my theory that they aren't lights except maybe provided from the outside.
And if they used another attraction at another park for the sake of putting a commercial together it's not the first time and won't be the last.

^Yeah, they always substitute locations the same way they do in movies. Who would have thought that the stadium they used in "Major League" wasn't really Cleveland Municipal but was really Milwaukee County Stadium. What outrage!

SIX uses coasters a park doesn't have in emails and TV spots all the time, Fast food uses images of burgers twice the size of what they serve. Remember the iPhone commercials with people dancing around with those earbuds that fall out the moment you turn your head a quarter of an inch?

The law is on their side and I don't see congress fixing the issue any time this century. Buyer beware.

This is it, http://imgur.com/hlt2Xcz . It is in the new kids' slide complex near Lemmy's Lagoon. It is definitely there, I went down it. Its fairly small, but cool nonetheless. Not physical lights, colored rings (as mentioned above) that create the illusion of lights when the sun hits them.

It's exactly what JohnnyV stated, you can clearly see inside them when you go up the stairs for the raft ride.

Those never looked like LEDs to me. And "false advertising"? C'mon...

I didn't scroll through all the pages to see if this was discussed yet, but does anyone know if you can park in the CP Shores lot at 9 am? The parking attendant in the front of the park told me the lot didn't open until 9:30, and there was a sign at CP Shores lot that also read that, but I didn't see any barricades or anything that physically prevent you from parking there earlier, though we got to the back around 10:30, so maybe there were. We like parking in the back lot for early entry into CP to get to Maverick and then it's easier to get back to the car and into the waterpark in the afternoon.
So to the point, has anyone parked back there this year for 9 am CP early entry or is that truly not an option anymore?

Last edited by Coco,

I do it all the time. Don't say anything to them, just go there and park.

I was able to do it earlier this year without issue

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

I don't normally go early enough to worry about that but I noticed my favorite little spot behind Gemini is no longer a thing. It's been turned into an authorized vehicles only lot. Are there any other spots back around the water park lot with a patch of grass and trees to sit under? I'm going to have to take a cruise around and look next time for somewhere I could lay a blanket out.

These are actually not the same slides as the ones on youtube. The commercial ones must be at another park then.

This isn't CPS but the discussion of possibly moving the funnel slide from WWK to CPS has been brought up before. An incident happened on the one at KD today. That incident may have them evaluate sending similar ones to the scrapyard, including the one removed from Knott's.

If you slip and fall while taking a bath or shower does that mean you stop taking baths and showers? Should they remove all baths and showers from our homes?

No, but there is much less risk in bathtubs. There is a discussion in a Facebook group on this incident. She got staples in her head, a concussion, and fractured collar and shoulder.

Some "single riders" have stopped taking baths and showers, already...

I think if you check the statistics there are more accidents in bathtubs than waterparks.

More injuries playing billiards than on roller coasters.

More injuries in CP Commons parking lot just last week.

I did research a few years ago about incidents on amusement park rides because of a health issue I was having and I was trying to determine if there was any research about my particular issue and amusement ride safety. Know what ride in amusement parks sends the most people to the ER? The Carousel. In the U.S. more people go to the emergency room after being injured on the carousel than any other amusement park ride. They look so innocent don't they? With the their smiling animals and happy organ music...it's a trap...
