This last clue really remind me of Ghost Riders in the Sky:

Their brands were still on fire and their hooves were made of steel
Their horns were black and shiny and their hot breath he could feel
A bolt of fear went through him as they thundered through the sky
For he saw the riders coming hard and he heard their mournful cry

Edit: Just realized there is a GhostRider at KBF. Doubt CF would re-use the name.

No worries. This is the park that named their last two coasters "Rougarou" and "Valravn". So if they use GhostRider, they'll translate it into Swedish or German or something.

My bet is definitely Rollin' Thunder per the last teaser

Okay, I was being sarcastic when I suggested Thunderhawk. Based on Cedar Point's recent ride naming, this is probably going to be a name no one has ever heard of before.

If it were a common name wouldn't we have seen a trademark application by now?

Technically it can already be filed, just may not be on teh interwebs. For instance drug companies may have a name + formulary for a drug, but not release the patent / trademark publicly immediately once they get it. It's there, but not publicly visible..

Corkscrew, Power Tower, Magnum, & Monster/ Witches Wheel Crew 2011

Well, Cedar Fair did file for 2 trademarks.

"The Ledge"

"Hangtime"

I doubt either of these will be for RMC Mean Streak, but they both were filed fairly recently.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

I agree. Anybody know the word for a mythical European stampede? At first I was joking, but I just googled that exactly, and found an article about "The Wild Hunt."

"The Gallic/Teutonic mythology of “The Wild Hunt” (German = Wilde Jagd) has been repeated in numerous cultures and regions (Wales, Cornwall, England, Northern France, Czechoslovakia, Poland, Norway, Galicia).."

So who's ready for Wilde Jagd?

Valkyrie (from Old Norse valkyrja "chooser of the slain") is one of a host of female figures who choose those who may die in battle and those who may live.

Richard Wagner wrote the opera Die Walküre. Ride of the Valkyries is the most popular song.

Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny performed said opera. ;)

I think you're onto something. The problem is that the name needs to be both "mythical" and "western" due to the Frontier Town location. Tricky.

Outlaw Wilde Jagd?

It could be fictional (as opposed to mythical), while still being western.
I give you... Serenity: The Firefly Coaster

Don't worry, the name "Serenity" totally fits with this whole "Wild and Unruly" and "Rolling in like Thunder" thing.
