RMC Streak Photo Update - May 7, 2017

I can't wait to buy a "non metal beach safe".

I already have one.
But it doesn't have the Railblazer logo on it, so I'm pumped for a new one.

I really hope "Railblazer" isn't what they call MS2—not because I have any problem with the name, but simply because I want to see enthusiasts' reactions when they realize they've been had.

Maybe "they" refers to the Three Amigos, with the trains named Lucky, Dusty, and Ned.

It works, trust me.

Promoter of fog.

I though CF trademarks were, typically, for non-CP rides. Doesn't CP usually own all their trademarks directly?

Normally, yes. Cedar Point rides are trademarked under a different entity called Cedar Point Park.

I still think the The Ledge and Hangtime will be for the two California coasters as those names fit into California culture (surfing and skateboarding/BMX/xtreme sports). And Railblazer will probably be for Kings Dominion, exactly for that reason - that RMC Mean Streak will be trademarked separately.

On a side note, anybody remember this coaster's name was Rail Blazer back in 1984?https://rcdb.com/125.htm

As a matter of fact, I have heard of that ride just recently.

The more and more I think about it, the more I really like this name. It matches perfectly with a steam train theme. "They're Coming" could be a reference to the people coming out west on the trains. Out of all the names that have been thrown out I think this is far and away the best and this one has actually been trademarked.

2018- Raptor

CP Top 5- 1)MF 2) Maverick 3) Gatekeeper 4) Top Thrill Dragster 5) Raptor

they = 2 coasters for 2018. bye mine ride, hello family friendly raptor railblazer.

If its for cp wouldn't it be spelled Railblazr?

At BGW maybe.

Unless there's a little confusion about the spelling of Valravn.

^Regarding that, i'm still surprised how bad adults mangle the spelling of some of CP's rides. I've seen some really ridiculous interpretations of Rougarou and Valravn.

This idea doesn't seem to far-fetched. I can see this happening in 2019, if not part of a 2018 frontier-town overhaul which has been discussed here. Maybe this is why they got started RMC MS as early as they did. This could all make sense now.

We would have heard about this i assume though, so , just a wild thought I had.

With regards to the Train theme...

Perhaps reading a little too much into this (For all I know, he could be referring to the actual railroad there), but still.

It could totally have something to do with a railroad theme, however I always took that tweet at face value...I assumed the joke there was the fact that there were actual train tracks in the picture.

Also, I could be wrong, but the webcam seems to be showing a bit of new track on the lift hill... I'm not exactly certain though, so definitely check it out. But there seems to be a solid line along the profile of the hill, and the crane there has moved significantly.

This ride will be the epicenter of Frontier Town for years to come. Sorry, Maverick.

I'm thinking this is putting the cart before the horse. Both literally and figuratively. (See what I did there.)

Because the ride is across the tracks, I think it will be hard for it to ever be the main focus in Frontier Town. It's just too out of the way from where the crowds, food, and everything else is. It will be interesting to see how the upgrade the surrounding area. The walk from Maverick to Mean Streak was always a bit off the path with not much between.

I just saw an Instagram post of a "Wanted" poster behind The Roundup (near Maverick). I can't share it here because the user who posted it has a private account, but basically, it features a silhouette of a guy with what looks like a Gatling gun mounted on his arm. It also advertises a reward for $875.

EDIT: This video has a picture of said poster at the 2:42 mark.

Lets face it those are the dumbest names in history.
There's no doubt in my mind that the new meanstreak is going to blow maverick away and will be the best coaster in the park.

Now I'm very certain - the crane has been moving quite a lot, and there is more track on the lift hill (it reaches up to the first inversion, now), as shown on the webcam - so that's cool.
