Wups, 2 trains, not 3. I'll edit it.

By the way, nothing like fast lane plus and a Top Thrill Dragster marathon to make you whole. I'm good now.

Lots of fractured but whole people these days.

It would really be interesting to know what issues the ride had to need all this time and testing. It's not like multiple trains is something new, Mine Ride ran FIVE trains back in the day when it was new on comparatively primative technology.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Maybe it needed to be re-certified with 2 train operation? May need a full day to keep testing it/make sure it works.

I don't know when but the testing has stopped. The station is full of people including the normal crew.

After getting to the park to find Steel Vengeance was down, I waited 40 minutes for Maverick to open. Then Valraven went down when I was on the platform. Top Thrill Dragster did too but I waited that out. Went to Rougarou and it was down. Went to Millennium Force and it went down when I got in line. Back to Rougarou and got to ride. Checked on Millennium Force and Valraven and they were still down. It's like playing wack-a-mole and I keep hitting the wrong hole. Story of my life. Famous Daves was great though. No wait, AC, drink refills, and good food for a good price. Good times.

It must be hard to maintain so many large coasters. The park looks great, much better than the last time I was here. Nothing wrong then but they really improved the looks here. There are so many good rides even when some are down. But if Steel Vengeance is down tomorrow I'm never coming back.

Edit: just as I posted that testing started again.

My daughter and I were there last wed/thu and the same thing with us and the rides running and not.
We got our SV ride in early then wait in line, ride breaks down, wait hour, ride up short time then down.
Was a very long day not getting many rides in but just waiting, waiting, waiting....

Gemini and Iron Dragon are down. What are the odds?

So after praising the park while constructively pointing out some shortcomings, you make a ridiculous statement claiming you will never return based on the operating status of one ride?

It's not ridiculous at all. We went to BG Tampa for the first time in many years when Falcon's Fury opened to ride that and Cheetah Hunt mainly and to see the place since we've not been there in years. I praised the Animals and Food Services. However, Cheetah Hunt never opened along with Falcon Fury, at one time in the park every coaster was down except one (which was for quite awhile). Rides were shutting down non-stop all day, and it was a beautiful sunny late January day. It's simple, the park isn't that great or anything you can't get anywhere else (not a place like no other). We will never return, it was a waste of vacation time and money. And we visit my mom in Cocoa Beach nearby 5 times a year.

New for 2024- Wicked Twister Plus

I’ll admit that I live an hour east of Busch Tampa and haven’t visited in over two years for reason similar to yours. There are a few good rides, but the overall park just feels lacking despite its enormous size and broad appeal. It has felt increasingly run down the last few years, operations are lackluster on a good day, and the number of SBNO rides, attractions, and exhibits is growing. The overally package just isn’t worth the admission price. But, if it was simply a matter of one coaster being down for a few days unexpectedly, I wouldn’t write the place off for life.

In my opinion, Montu and Kumba are worth the visit alone. Would I go out of my way to go back? Nah. But as long as those 2 are open, I’m happy.

Steel Vengeance is still testing tonight as of 11:19pm. You can’t say they aren’t trying to get the ride right from what I’m seeing. A train going up the lift hill every couple minutes.

You thought I was serious? Weird. I'm definitely coming back.

I will admit it, I did. You got me! Nice work.

As for Busch Tampa - it is absolutely worth a visit. 3 outstanding B&Ms, a retro Schwarzkopf, and Maverick Lite make the trip well worth it. As well as all of the excellent animal exhibits and some pretty decent food. There is just *something* about it that make the overall experience "meh" for me.

According to those staying at the hotel, it tested most of the night. It's been running flawlessly with two trains for Coastermania ERT. Now that I said that and I 'm in line for my third lap of the morning I'm sure it will break down.

I’m very curious if it broke down for you.

Since you asked....Nope.

It ws closd down completely today as well. I wonder what problem they are having now?

"Forgiveness is almost always easier to obtain than permission."

It is odd considering the ride doesn't have multiple launches or a cable lift hill to cause problems. Obviously I'm on record saying its the craziest coaster I've ever been on but that was by design and technology unrelated to a chain lift and breaks.

So overall it's puzzling. However after they iron out the kinks I don't think this ride will be in the TTD/ Maverick category where downtime is more common than other rides in the park.

A wild shot in the dark but could the rides computer/brain/programming be the main issue here?
