Cedar Fair isn’t known for their corporate partnerships for ride themes. So if the racing theme continues it’s going to be a generic racing theme, ie like the maxx force trains, You’ll not be able to tell the difference between your favorite open wheel motorsport. They all use the candy cane turtles, hell even non open wheel motorsports do too.

Fun Fact: The Intimidator coasters were named after the close proximity to the location of where Dale Earnhardt's corpse is buried in Mooresville NC.

Are there any famous corpses in close proximity to Sandusky Ohio?

vwhoward:

F1 racing and IndyCar series are two totally different motorsports.

I didn’t claim they’re the same. Several people, including myself, think F1 when we hear/see Formula in the CP teasers. I’m just saying Formula encompasses so many types of races, including Indycar.

Sam is correct, “Formula” is the world term, where “open wheel” is the North American term.

Jeff, I'm just curious since this seems to be a sentiment I've seen a couple of times in this thread, but would you prefer silence and twiddling of thumbs until an announcement is made versus traffic to your site, even if it's nonsensical stuff like subcontractors?

If so, that's cool, but it's not like it's unprecedented to talk about the nuts and bolts of ride manufacturing here. Hell, there was a whole "Ask RideMan" section for a while

Fair question.

It's the oddest thing, and yet you see it from time to time: forum hosts who regularly express scorn and disdain for the very members making the forum "active" (and hence monetizable.... that may not be a word....).

And yet Jeff, our host, is regularly dismissive, if not outright, scornful of his guests just trying to have a discussion..... in a discussion forum. It's perplexing.

Its almost like he's trying to add to the discussion himself. perplexing!

Be honest, you just don't like his takes. Or are somehow jelly.

We are all "jelly" of our almighty forum host.

I've been here a long time. Having a Jeff who is willing to call BS...BS, and who is willing to call out stupidity, cruelty, trolling, etc is why I'm still here after all these years. Perhaps in his old(er) age he has grown a little less patient (I sure as hell have) but, to be fair, I don't think his tolerance levels have altered much.

Jeff:

So now we're debating subcontractors and their qualifications. Cool cool.

And here I thought Jeff just hit the rum a little early last night!

In case you want a closer look at the lightning vehicle:

Is there a source with some decent shots of the track? Nothing I've seen so far has given a clear view.

I missed this question earlier. This video shows the reworked Intamin track 😉. Not confirmed to be Intamin but I still don’t see how everyone claims this is Zamperla.

Edited because my link doesn’t work. How do you include a link or video from YouTube?

And yet, somehow, some of you still remain here. He's not banning you from discussing these things ya know.......

1:50 "...and will soon be seen on some of the worlds fastest attractions..."

Considering prior to it's closure following the incident TTD was 3rd fastest in the world and the next two are Red Force and Do-Dodompa. I'm having a hard time not hearing that as Zamperla bragging and or letting a detail slip.

Thoughts?

Edit: Even if zamperla isn't building the rest of the ride, it's really hard for me to hear that and not think that their lightning train will be on TTD 2.0.

Exactly, TwistedCircuits. Everything in that brief video is what Zamperla talked about at the IAAPA (sorry if I missed a letter) convention when they showed off the trains.

If you take time to read the info (including employee bios, etc.) on their website, it's pretty clear they have had a clear mission that started in 2001; to take their established company and take it to another level.

Isn’t Kingda Ka up there in the top 5?

Well no one is going to be talking about TTD when Cedar Fair gets brought up for a while. Fury just completely sheered off support!

Someone on the Cedar Point Uncensored group on Facebook just dropped a bunch of photos of the track and supports over by the Express Hotel…and among them were some boxes with these labels on them:

Not my photos, just to make that absolutely clear.

Not to be the doubter at this point. But any shot these are left over from Wild Mouse construction?

Considering the date is 9/22/2022 I am going to assume that is Wild Mouse
