Fury just completely sheered off support!

Time for me to setup a coaster buzz account. I don't think that topic fits here by that definitely catches my attention. Holy cow.

What have you been waiting for?

Promoter of fog.

The photos of the new smaller supports have made me curious

All of TTDs previous supports attached to the track straight up vertically from the footers whereas these new ones all include this right angle offset.

Could be due to a different track style or something else but I just find them odd.

Coasterline,

Those are offset supports, I think maverick has them to allow for another set of track to run underneath.

It's the supports to the right in this picture. Doesn't really show it well, but I think that's what it is. Pretty sure that this ride will run under itself at some point.

Doo-Doo occurs... even to the likes of B&M.

Surprising nonetheless.

That might give some credence to launch over station idea then? I've always thought that would be the most interesting implementation.

What if the load platform is above like on maverick and launch goes below?

Wait, what if it's got an elevator lift!!! Roll out of station to elevator lift in line with launch!!!

I've been thinking a lot about this new attraction and after the 2 story station permit, and now the off-set supports I have a theory (that likely is way off base but who knows). I don't know if F1 operates the same, but I know a lot of racing haulers are 2 stories where the car backs out of the truck then drops down on a platform to ground level. Any chance they theme the station to the inside of a hauler where you load backwards then come out of the station before stopping, then you hit a drop track that drops you before you somehow turn around onto the main track which then launches you backwards under the station up into the spike then back down under the station again and towards and over the top hat?

Those offset supports are pretty short. I'm going to take a non-professional opinion here and guess that since the launch of TTD involved a LOT of lateral (side to side) movements -- anyone could have observed this -- bracing the track from the sides will stabilize things.

This observation was especially prevalent near the end of the launch.

The offset supports could be as simple as making sure there is room for electrical/mechanical equipment for the launch track.

That was my assumption as well. Maybe even for the new transfer track sections.

If you look at the new concrete poured in the station, it looks offset/staggered footers. Maybe a way to fit mechanical items with low profile, as someone else mentioned.

That would be interesting. I was thinking what if the switch track is like a garage lift?

Hmm I wonder if a P in PHP stands for Penta, as in Pentacoaster, as in 5... (let the flaming begin)

If you were paying attention, you'd know that's the problem. Platforms and the Google/FB duopoly have made it hard for indie publishers to make anything. So if I'm gonna float the bill, you're damn right I'm gonna call out what I think is not interesting. The alternative is spamming y'all with video ads and four things to dismiss on every page load. Wanna go there?

So as I turn the half century today, I think I've earned the right to say, if you don't like it here, get off my lawn. I've been dealing with trolls and malcontents since before some of you were born. I don't know how many keystrokes I have left, but I'm not gonna waste them on you. Go give your traffic to Zuck, Elon and Sundar. They totally need it.
