Also interesting is that there are two different grays used on the supports, the tower and spike are darker.

I’m fairly sure they just haven’t finished painting those.

I think they’re referring to the diagonal supports that come off the tower compared to the vertical support on the pull-up from the launch. Good catch!

Something interesting I was thinking about this morning as we continue to wait for official confirmation if it is indeed Zamperla taking over, they either had to modify the wheel bogey design of their new trains and conform their standard track width and rail specs for this one ride to match the tophat track specs, or by divine intervention (or good foresight) they were already working with the exact same measurements.

I'm not sure those supports are a different gray, just appear a little different based on the lighting/shading in that particular picture.

Nah, that's light reflecting off one and not so much the other. They're the same color.

These two are diff colors

I thought it might’ve been the lighting as well, but the other vertical supports on the pull out in the bottom left of the picture sure seem lighter than the tower supports that almost look black.

That dark gray and yellow look really sharp - missed opportunity.

Is there another picture that shows them as different colors? Because to me, the vertical support appears lighter from that picture's perspective because less of a shadow is cast on it compared to the diagonal support, both because of the different angle of the supports but also due to their diameter, with the larger diameter having a larger shaded area. At least that's what I see.

I have to say, I'm utterly whelmed that they're going with a racing theme. The dragster theme, to me, was ridiculous and a non-racing coaster having a racing theme isn't an improvement. But, whatever. At least the project is starting to pick up pace.

Mock up I saw on Twitter. Yeah this looks way cooler than red and yellow imo.

I see what you're saying about the shadows. I agree about sticking with the racing theme, I just don't understand. It's such a niche interest.

Yeah, I'm confused about the racing clues. I figured they'd want to diverge from anything related to Dragster. And Tony tweeting POLARIS makes no sense, as Polaris is the North Star. So that hints at a possible Space theme.

Polaris was a trademarked name a while back (circa 2019 or 2020, I believe).

Tony is just poking some fun at enthusiasts who might have been paying close attention and coming up with theories (like me).

I will say this about the apparent theme and signs: Fury 325 had teasers with a Roman theme because CF had trademarked "Centurion". I just wonder if the racing stuff is a red herring again.

Given multiple teases have had Formula 1 vibes, I think it's worth noting that F1 has a global fanbase of over half a billion fans, and that's not even the most popular motorsport domestically. Motorsports are alive and well and there is validity in them sticking with the genre if they do end up deciding to do so.

You could just about say the same for the NFL or NBA globally and it would still be weird that Cedar Point, of all places, would theme a major, record-breaking roller coaster after them.

However, they had a chance to tie in a space theme for this specific area of the park, and it would seem they're not going to take it. That's a shame, really.

I think the point is that there's legs to creating correlation between a fast roller coaster and fast cars, and that motorsports aren't "niche." But yes, agreed, space/aviation are also completely valid. I just don't think it's outrageous for them to stick with a racing theme if they do.

Not to mention the ride has big af start lights and a finish line that requires 0 retheme/removal by keeping a racing theme.

Closed topic.
