Testing has begun

Riding Pantheon has made me excited about TT2. The backwards spike might be the best part of that ride. I think back row on TT2 is going to be wild.

Will the Launch have as much kick- of course not

But come on, the ride isn't even open yet AND I'm sure their tune will change when launching backward at 100 miles per hour.

Has a Cedar Point coaster ever been powered up and cycled at this stage of an offseason?

To be fair, they didn't have to build the whole ride.

Remember when some folks insisted it wouldn't be Zamperla, or even couldn't be?

I'm still convinced Intamin is involved......

Remember when some folks all but insisted it wouldn't be everything it's turned out to be, allegedly to fan the flames of debate and boost traffic to their site?

Also, have y'all see the Twitter account of this bioreconstruct guy? 74k followers, flies above 3,000 feet and gets all the photos of Epic Universe construction and Disney.

First, the one thing that stuck out the most for me in that video is how bright the FAA lights are. Second, bioreconstruct is a great follow. Was worried for him when he said he was diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year, but he's right back up there snapping photos.

Oh wow, I didn't know that. Believe it or not, I haven't followed him or the Epic construction that closely. I'm surprised every time I drive by it though, which is not often. I suppose I'll just be surprised like most people when it opens.

I'm curious what Bioreconstruct's camera setup is when he's shooting stuff that high. I imagine something like this. :P

Nah, there are so many pixels on modern mirrorless cameras (successors to DSLR's) that you can have a decent 200mm zoom with IS and crop in, especially for Twitter. I have a Canon R6, hardly best in class, and it's insane to pixel peep the results.

Bioreconstruct is the only reason I had a Twitter account. His work is absolutely incredible. I have been following Epic Universe, EPCOT construction and so much more because of his work.

Love bioreconstruct as well.... interesting how many follow him.

I am super impressed by how quickly these ride is testing, and already successfully doing complete launches. I can't think of any CP coaster fully testing in mid-ish december before, much less one as technologically tricky as this one? (I'm sure they have - I just can't think of one).

It's a testament to CP and Zamperla's commitment to make sure this ride is more than ready come May 2024. It also shows how far along LSM technology has advanced in terms of reliability.

In any event, I certainly had my doubts about Zamperla jumping into a project this large -- so far, they are proving my doubts wrong. Impressive.

Let's not forget that about 85% of this ride was already constructed in terms of structure and track. I am not shocked at all that they were able to get it to a state of testing by the end of the year considering they started work pre-season and vertical construction in what, June, July? The technology Zamperla is using isn't anything new for them I would guess, so even though this is larger than anything they have done, it's still familiar territory.
