Finnaly made it to the Point yesterday. I arrived at the park around noon. First thing I saw was MF complete with the yellow train :) I really just came to ride MF...all I can say is WOW! It's really in a league all by it's self. I waited about 2 hours total, with some delays. For some reason they were back the two train operations. I was just getting to the pop machine area of the que when the red train stopped at the top of the hill. It was stuck about 15 min. Once things got going again I noticed another delay. Turns out they were adding the yellow train again.
The line moved much faster once the third train was added. About 20 min after that I was seated in the red train in the 5th car.
That drop is amazing...it felt like I was going to go head first out of the train. Lots of airtime all over the place...just speed speed speed and more air!!
Afterwards I made my way around Frontier Trail. It really looks great...I took a lap on Mine Ride..after MF it's not much of a ride but still fun :)
Then to MS..I noticed it was not making it's usual noises coming out of the station. The drop seemed dull...the enire ride it's self really was just boring. It was not as rough as usual, but just not very good overall. I remember the ride attendant asking "How was your ride?" ..No one claped, no one said a thing, ...she even went as far as saying "I'm sorry" basicly conceding the fact that the ride is dull.
With my time being short...I went to Gemini. Mabye a 10 min wait. This is STILL one of the best rides in the park. Quick, fairly smooth and entertaining when racing. By far a much better ride than MS.
I was REALLY short on time yesterday..I will be returning for flights on Raptor, Magnum and the rest soon. But MF..WOW!!
