An open PLEA to CP Management (answers please?)

Yes, if you have read any of my post, CP management pee’s in my Cheerios virtually every visit to the park.

I bet you're a real hoot to hang out with at an amusement park.

I started the thread and want to comment on a few things/ clear up some myths.

Firstly, I will take Jeff's and MaverickLaunch's advice and be voting with my wallet. Last night was the last straw unfortunately.

Secondly, I side with MDOmnis on the "common sense" issue (there's a real lack of it all around now days) and Brandon's thoughts with the hand washing, just plain unsanitary when being/working around food.

Paisley: Unfortunately, there aren't any "no public restrooms" signs posted anywhere. Can you imagine the patronage then, the restaurant knows it also.

Schroeder (to answer you). YES, there is an employee restroom in the back. I asked where they went.

BlueStreaker: I've been loving/going to the park for 38 years and this is my FIRST complaint to corporate (along with EXACT similar complaints from others on this issue) in the last 10 years. By no means am I a common complainer, so why are myself and others being ignored? If anything, I've consistently emailed corporate twice a year complimenting the park on front gate improvements, Gemini midway improvements, Petting Farm add-ons, etc.etc. I have had email/ personal hand written responses back via snail mail from John H (old VP), Bryan Edwards, and Rob Decker (from planning). The park should always try to address customer issues and do what it takes to constantly improve/ keep guests happy & keep their Golden Ticket award status going. I don't want to see them lose it.

This OP was in no way meant to bash/criticize park management, just to get some answers or shed some insight as to what the "hang-up" is on getting a public working bathroom facility in this sit down restaurant. C & Pete's corporate is tired from hearing the complaints and has told CP corporate about it with no results.
On that note, again read my OP about how I feel the situation can be remedied.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.

However, it is strange that so much venom is directed at me when I say nothing more that other posters did.

Maybe because you're consistently negative and critical? If it's a bad thing to praise something all the time, is it any better to criticize something all the time?

But, to be fair, there are times when posts take on a harsher tone than necessary.

CPfan1976, I never meant to say or imply that you were a constant complainer. If I came off that way, I am sorry. PointGuru is the constant complainer I was referring to.

I don't blame them for peeing in your cheerios.

I'm too sexy for my harness!

^^ No personal offense taken, no need for an apology. Just stating the point, that because I rarely complain about anything that the park does, and when multiple people are letting management know about this exact same issue as myself, it would be nice to have some answers, thus the OP.

All true, and also in fairness, I have gone out of my way to be fair or even complementary of the park in some of my post; but, I haven't been given credit (except for a few posters). Just to add to CPfan's comment about the petting farm with out starting a new thread. It is greatly improved with a larger variety of animals and more interaction allowed. I highly recommend families with children make a point to check it out.

To clarify, when I said "posts take on a harsher tone than necessary" I meant posts from others in response to you. :)

This is ridiculous. Guess I'll chime in as well. It's insane they don't have public restrooms in this sub-par sit down restaurant. I will never eat there, because of the quality of the food and the fact of no on premises bathrooms. Just dumb. What were they thinking?

Well then I would think the least they could do is add a sign to warn unsuspecting guests that the restroom they remember is no longer there. That little heads up would be nice. Not as nice as a restroom, but at least it would be something.

This is interesting and unfortunate. We were there as a family and nearly got a table when we were there as we were waiting for rain to clear up, but I am thankful we did not, as a restroom is an absolute necessity (our girls are 2 and 6). The scenarios you presented in your original post cpfan are great examples, and I can completely relate to the first especially with our kids. It's simply unacceptable. I would also vote with my wallet...but I already have no intention of ordering anymore over-hyped "crab fries".

That said, it seems absurd that a sit-down place, especially one with a bar, has no restroom.

I hope you receive a response that indicates they are working on fixing this oversight. Hopefully this is not a "consistency of operations" issue, though, as that leads to all sorts of silly decisions. :)

Just another point for the necessity of a bathroom....I'm one of those people who like to wash my hands before a meal at Cedar Point. Something about touching all the handrails and restraints and then eating finger foods such as french fries seems gross to me!
We normally eat at Midway Market, so I just go in the bathroom at the restaurant before eating. I would have no idea, if it weren't for this forum, that that is something that I could not do at Chickie & Pete's, so I wouldn't know to do so at another bathroom before hand. I wouldn't even think about it, seeing as how it's a sit down restaurant. I hope this issue gets addressed this year.

Hello from Canada!

Yes, I stopped riding Leviathan to respond to this thread.

The restrooms inside the restaurant will reopen and planning is literally underway. It's happening. For real.

By the way, you can reach out to Jason any time you'd like via Twitter. He's on it constantly. His handle is @JasonMcClureCP. You can also reach out to me if he scares you. He scares me sometimes! (He's not scary.) I'm @TonyClarkCP.

In case you were also wondering, I had the high score of my train on Guardian. I won nothing.

How's that for customer service?

Happy to hear about the pottys, but get back on Leviathan. After all, it's up to you whether or not Cedar Point gets a 300-foot B & M or an interactive family ride next year, right, Tony?

I think Tony gave us a great example of customer service 101. There is no doubt that Jason, Tony and the rest of the cedar Point staff team listen to their customers. If you don't follow Jason on twitter, you should. He is always comunicating with people.

Tony, I'm guessing no tweetups this weekend since your in Canada

Give Pointguru a few minutes. He'll find something wrong with what Tony just did.

Its past his bedtime, hopefully Pointguru is in bed.

I honestly don't think Cedar Point is to blame here. Honestly, I would blame C&P Headquarters for forcing Cedar Point to open the place the day the park opened without restrooms.

If Cedar Point had a choice, no way would they have opened without restrooms.

Two words "ENTITLEMENT SOCIETY" !

Or as Jack will say "All work and no play make Jack bad boy."
