Pete - you took the words right out of my mouth. What a great move! I have decried that whole setup here several times.

Now how about bringing "To Fly" back to the IMAX. theater.

Hopefully they decide to put pavers down on that midway. That, along with the screen removal, would look a lot better.

Can Jungle Larry be far behind? ;)

I know they should take it down, but they should replace it somewhere in the Park, because I like the music with Lee Greenwood; "GOD BLESS the USA". It could fit it in the front by the Disaster Transport or they can put it close by the Gemini. Then they just close 1 Coaster instead of 2.

How would it fit in front of Disaster Transport with maXair, Troika and Space Spiral there?

Can't wait to see this gone! I cringed the first season I ever saw it, when it blocked the Giant Wheel. I never understood why they couldn't have come up with some kind of retractable system, making the eyesore disappear when not active. Like two heavy duty poles that came out of the ground with the push of a button, the screen folding or unfolding on the ground like an accordion.

Isn't that the way the Batcave's movie screen works? ;)

Amen to that! :) It is as ugly as if Disney were to construct a screen like that at the end of Main Street, blocking the castle!

I'm all for there never being a show made of patriotic cheese ever again. That stuff is awful.

With so many friends and neighbors coming down from the other side of Lake Erie, I always thought it would be nice to put on a Canadian-themed show once in a while. You know, "O Canada", "God Save the Queen", the McKenzie Brothers. Stuff like that.

Mmmm.... cheese. Man, now I'm hungry.

I too am glad it's gone. Though, I'm sure many will be disapointed about the inability to see the football games on the big screen late in the season.

Hopefully this brings to a end the Iron Dragon miday closeing a hour before to set up. I hardly stay at the park till dark anymore but I would think they still did that in recent years.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

They can simply relocate the projector, and use the side of Disaster Transport to watch the football games in the fall! ;) It's best to just get rid of the screen all together and forget about it. Maybe CP plans to start their own version of Main Street Electrical Parade for night entertainment.

With the screen going away and what apparently sounds like the addition of LED lights to the Giant Wheel, there are some very positive aesthetic changes coming for this season! :)

Hmmm...I wonder if the screen is scheduled to come down on 2/25, when there will be about a hundred fanatical volunteers in the park who would probably be happy to taer it down for free... :)

Seriously, that screen should have come down about fifteen years ago!

I hope they get rid of those nasty 70's style tree planters/benches in front of Wildcat while they are at it. Same for the ones outside Mean Streak. Nothing says frontier like cheesy 1970's planters.
