I think they will always come up with new rides. Ride On!

It seems to me like the orange marks are definately elctrical since they seem to be leading directly to the electrical boxes. I have no clue what the red ones would be for. I find it very interesting that they marked them as far as Thunder Canyon goes.

Is Thunder Canyon always dry around opening day?

Just sayin, but I think Starlight requires electricity...

Starlight requires more than electricity, it requires light maintenance too. Unlike last year.

obviously...

but I don't see why there would be a need to make marking through thunder canyon for starlight.

I think Thunder Canyon and Snake River Falls operate based on temperature, but I could be wrong. I know they are permanently closed during Halloweekends.

Thunder Canyon has to be closed for Cornstalkers.

I know, but Cornstalkers isn't here now...

The markings could be for improvements to Cornstalkers, or for a new HW attraction to replace it. Or it could be nothing of importance.

Did anyone see Screamscape's 2012 rumor?

" Also, when you visit the park this year you may want to take some time to get a ride in on Calypso and the old Turnpike cars. From the sound of things, the park may have something unique in store for this area of the park coming up, and will need to make some room for it. Even the Cadillac Cars may have to have their route adjusted. If the rumors holds water, even the old Pirate dark ride building may need to be removed to make way. All said and done, this is clearing out a pretty large area of the park… so I’m dying to know just what may replace it."

Not sure what CP can fit into that spot. To me, that's not that much room to really do anything.

I found this on screamscape....

Can anyone confirm this at all? It doesn't say anything about where screamscape has heard this from. Those of you who have already been at the park, have you seen any markings in this area?

That is a pretty dull area. I always questioned why there were three car rides. Calypso could always be removed to a new spot, such a fun ride that is hardly noticed. Blue Streak can not pull in a lot of people to that area by itself, and ofcourse Pirate Ride is an eyesore to the public as it now a storage/maintenance shed for Rides. That area would be great for a new ride. Someday. Maybe. Possibly.

Screamscape publishes anything they hear, without fact checking or corroboration.

Basically, the site's motto is "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut."

Beat you by 1 minute SSL488! Haha

If this rumor holds true, what do you think CP has in store?I think I'm right by saying the majority of us thought CP was going to continue building up the boardwalk and new Windseeker area.

Although, some improvement in this rumored area would help Blue Streak get more riders! That little area is mainly dead. Maybe that's why they did a ton of work on Blue Streak this past off-season...

Darn you!!!!! haha

If it goes by the pirate ride over to where the turnpike cars are an calypso... That would mean it would most likely be a roller coaster. If they were to take out the turnpike cars there would be a whole lot of room

I need an aerial visual haha. Would that mean it would hide Blue Streak? Raptor is right there as well. Just doesn't make sense to me after adding Windseeker and the desperate need of a wooden roller coaster and a boardwalk.

I wouldn't say either of those would be a "desperate" need.....

What's the possibility of these Frontier Trail markers being for a Calypso relocation or a new area for the Turnpike Cars, and the Blue Streak plaza and Turnpike Cars area (which is huge by the way) being for the new attraction/coaster?

This rumor actually isn't as far fetched as I orginally thought, and it could make sense if the entrance to the ride is over by the Marina entrance and the exit is over by Blue Streak, or the other way around, presuming that this does remove the Turnpike Cars and is a huge attraction, but someone please highlight the Frontier Trail area and this new area for comparison.

Note: No markers have been found in this area that I'm aware of, but I'll check it out on my Sunday and Monday trips.
