Cedar Point Removing Good Times Theatre

Has Cedar Point set a date or month of when they will be demolishing Good Time Theatre?

I'm sure they have, but since it doesn't mean anything to guests, they haven't shared it.

I wish they would turn one of the webcams that way so we could see it.

Tony tweeted that he would put a camera facing the GTT. So I'm sure it is coming.

Cedar Point guest since 1974

And so it begins...

You gotta wonder since they're already deconstructing now that if during the season (if this is for a coaster) they will begin constructing throughout the summer like Maverick.

it proably will end up being a coaster maybe dark ride GTT is not the only place to put a dark ride. maybe they will put it in the pirate ride building who knows. maybe it will be a huge B&M that goes across primeter rd and turns around. the all wheels extreme arena is going to last long either i heard that it is going to be taken out for a kiddie coaster. maybe the GTT is going to be taken out so that they have a place to put challenge if they decide to expand SC who knows what i going to happen what ever it is it should be good. is most likey for 2016 or 2017. if it is a coaster proably have to wait til 2017. if dark ride proably 2016.

A coaster could easily be built there by 2016.

I argee i would love a coaster to come in 2016. but very unlikely because canda wonderland is getting a coaster 2016 dought cedar point is getting one the same year possible but unlikely.

Maybe they'll just pave it over for a few years. Or consolidate operational offices/facilities. :-)

I highly doubt we get a coaster in 2016. We're sort of getting one this year.

they are proalbly going to build a coaster now that I look at the christmas video. 4 world records. as crazy as it seems now i think it is 2016. dark ride very unlikely. maybe that is why I saw a bunch of markings at the park by point pavillion ( not by the windseeker) and they are tearing it up. then it goes where GTT is. just a theory proably not accurate at all.

TopThrillDragsterRollback should be nominate so far for the worse post of the year. Please work on grammer and punctuation.

I'm thinking you are using a smart phone.

Blue Streak is not going anywhere anytime soon. In the past couple of years the ride has gotten painted, a new lighting package was added, and complete refurbished trains.

I think Blue Streak is immune to removal. I could see it lasting another 50 years. It's a classic.

KHTOExtreme I agree, TopThrillDragsterRollback should work on his grammar, punctuation AND spelling. It is very had to understand what he is trying to say. And using a smart phone is no excuse.

^ Haha, you tell him to work on spelling and you said "shart" phone.

I only had one spelling error, lol. But thanks for proof reading. It never pays to be in a hurry.

You haven't heard of the new Shart Phone? It is made by Angel Soft...

A) Generally speaking, don't get me started on people whose posts to social media are riddled with spelling and grammatical errors, who blame their smartphone for their shortcomings...

B) I have no idea and no insight into what Cedar Fair has planned for future seasons. But I would be very surprised if Blue Streak were to be removed anytime soon. It's a solid, fairly popular ride hampered by lack of visibility. Several years ago at NoCoaster the Cedar Point rep noted that a surprisingly large number of park guests did not know the park had a beach (and it's a mile long -- how do you miss a mile long beach...?) so it's no surprise to me that people spend the whole day in the park and never notice the classic wood coaster hidden by Raptor.
