Chickie's and Pete's has shut down the bathrooms!

Was up at the point on Sunday with my daughter and her friend and we decided to give the new Chickie's and Pete's. We used to go to Gameday every now and again and decided to give it a try. We sit down to order our drinks. My daughters friend is a diabetic and they went to the bathroom so she could wash her hands so she could check her blood sugar. The girls come back and she says they don't know what door to go in because there are no signs on them. Our server just happened to be walking by and he says there are no bathrooms at the restaurant and the girls would have to go across the midway down near the pagoda to use the restroom. C'mon you gotta be kidding me!! A sit down restaurant in cedar point that up till this year had bathrooms ( the doors are still there; I'm assuming the bathroom facilities are still there as well) Nobody seemed to know why they weren't there anymore.

As an aside the place sucked. The food was just.... o.k. Boneless wings were awful, Philly cheese was just ok. Crab fries were awesome though. That makes a grand total of 54$ for 1 beer, 2 pops, philly cheese, 10 boneless wings and fries. I never have problems spending money at the sit downs in the park. So many times we go to Famous Daves or even Fridays sometimes just to get out of the walking and heat for a bit. I will probably go in and get the fries to go (there that good) but won't be actually sitting and eating there no more. Gameday might have been just as expensive but the bathrooms still worked!

On top of everything else our server was a real piece of work as well. We orderd our drinks. I watched to bartender put my beer up on the bar. Waited.....Waited....Waited. Meanwhile our food comes out and my beer is till sitting there. Mind you I'm watching our server and he's walking around then bull****ting, then walking around, then talking with the front main greeter. I got his attention and said what about my beer? He said he was really busy and he'd get to it when he could. What? When he brought it back he made some smart *ss comment about "and here is your promised beer" in a really smart voice. Just grated me.

We go to leave and get the bill and he says the credit machine isn't working and if we need to use a card they'll have to write the numbers down. He said we should use cash. Told him I don't carry that kinda cash to waste on expensive meals and I wanna pay with a card. He said he'd have to check. In the end the machine worked but everything with this kid was the tone he used. Even if the food was great don't think I'd be going back.

You should defenatly contact Cedar Point guest services about this experience. I am suprised about the bathroom thing. I would have thought that was against code.

They have already commented about the bathrooms being closed as they are too close to the dining area & was not up to the parks standards. I'm sure the park is working on the solution currently.

As for your service I am so sorry you did not have a less than amazing experience as I did opening day. I enjoyed everything about the place and will be a repeat customer, hopefully you give them a chance however.

The bathrooms are under renovation and will be reopening. It's not a permanent shutdown.

Hopefully your server won't be around for long, just the attitude and comments about the beer would have caused me to talk to his supervisor and I would have filled out a comment card in guest services.

When I was there on media day the service was fine. We had a regular philly and a chicken philly and shared so we could each try both. I thought the chicken philly was really good, the regular philly a bit bland. Crab fries were excellent though, a real treat.

Famous Dave's and TGIFriday's both have an excellent bar staff, I've had really great service at both places.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I was impressed with our server and the bartender when we went Sunday. The food was great too!

The bartender on Sunday was awesome.

Poor guy got a lot of flak from a particular family that was in there, super demanding, complaining that they didn't serve hard booze and the like. He kept his cool and didn't let his frustrations show at all. He's been around a while, and he knows his job.

Wonder if it was Josh as I spoke about him earlier, excellent bartender.

If people really want booze in the park, hell, just keep a 750 in the car or flask it. People really like to make a scene lol.

Or take a few friends over to the CP marina store where they charge normal prices for 6 packs... You can literally buy a 6-pack for $1 more than one single cup of it in the park just a short walk away from the MF gate...

That place is the best kept secret at CP... Snacks, drinks, whatever... Normal prices.

But you can't walk around the park drinking that beer.

that's why they sell the large $.99 refill cups.

You can put anything in those and nobody looks twice

Sorry, to hear this guy had a bad experience at C&Ps.

I really hope he said something or contacted management at the park, and didn't just use this website as his venting source.

Nothing is going to change or get fixed by posting it on here.

I'm sure it's just like everything in life. I had a bad experience and could have went in 25 minutes later and had a great experience. That's why servers are the most important part of a restaurant experience. Front of the house staff make or break a restaurant. I go out of my way to take care of the hard working employees who are working there tails off for not a ton of money. I searched around and couldn't find anything about the bathrooms being closed. I must have missed it.

Damn them fries were good though!

Once you leave the MF Gate, where exactly is the CP marina store?? We always park in the back lot, so I know I've drove past it a million times, but I don't recall what building it's in....

Where is the MF Gate? I know where the Marina Gate is. Once you walk out the Marina Gate, if you keep walking straight ahead, you will run right into the Marina Building and Store. Famous Dave's is next the Marina Store.

A friend and myself dined here for the media day preview, and to put it bluntly, it SUCKED. We both ordered the philly cheesesteak sandwhich, which is supposed to be one of their signature dishes, and it was HORRIBLE. The meat was all dried out and the sandwhich itself was COLD! My buddies was the same way. At the time, we didn't know the meal was free, but when we found out we got the heck outta there in a hurry, just in case they changed their minds! It's a good thing, too, because I wouldn't have wanted to pay for that awful dining experience. I will never eat there again and I had the same experience with the bathrooms...just horrible. I will not recommend this place to ANYONE!!!!

It's totally reasonable to use one experience during their soft open to dictate your future choices, especially because your experience doesn't align with many others. Totally reasonable.
