Mavericks Test seat!

Did anyone on opening day try the test that is around 275 mark? Just wanted to see how they fit on a bigger person.

Well seeing how there were lines all day I didnt have a chance to test the test seat because there was a line for that also.

Ride On

Yeah, that's funny. In the morning the whole entrance, including the test seat was closed off. But by the end of the day, evidently enough people had jumped the barriers that they moved them back to allow people to try the test seat.

Maverick. one amazing ride! first person from the SC gates to ride on its opening day! besides red cross
Maverick rides = 18

The test seat was open to try when we were there around 4-5pm. No one was even near it. I am only 5'2'' so I fit in it just fine... I am just praying there is no headbanging LOL

I'm glad to hear that height is fine. I'm 6'6 so it's somewhat of an issue every now and then. Hooray comfortable seats!

I tried the test seat today and there's lots of room. It's almost as nice as a lapbar!

I'm 6'7" 220lbs and I fit fine, I was always a close call on Millie and TTD but this seat was no problem.

It's fat people friendly!

o this is definitely a fat people friendly ride. i am on the light side but i have a couple friends who were in our group that are definitely crossed over to the heavy side and they fit. we were shocked. but its still annoying to those vertically challenged. my bros who are 12 and 10 are so pissed. the new height restrictions are definitely annoying.

Its not entirely fat people friendly... You still need the Half Inch of slack so big belly people may be turned down.

I'm not sure about 275, but I saw some decent sized people fit easily into the test seat. I didn't see anyone who even came close to the yellow stiching. Just like with the other questionable rides, I belive it's going to be 'where' you have your weight.

^ You mean the yellow rubber band, right Jason? :)

It's a very nice seat, extremely comfortable. The one thing that surprised me was that when you pull the over the shoulder down it feels like your inclosed in a box or cage. Still nice, just felt different.

A friend of mine who doesn't ride most OTSR rides because of claustrophobia, feels this is open enough to ride.

MF Man- I think I am about your size, and the seat still felt huge to me. I had lots of extra room, so you should have no problems.

This picture shows you how much extra room I had beyond the yellow line on the belt, and I didn't even have the harness down very tight. I could have gone down another inch easily.

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

Thanks Ralph, I was hoping that a bigger person would have a pic of them in the seat to see where others and I my fit. Also I'm 5'11.

How tall does one have to be before they start having trouble on Maverick?

I bet Maverick's test seat is now the most photographed at CP. :)
