Or listen to the Podcast on Pointbuzz. Tony Clark from CP explains why. Basically the issue is a long term reliability issue on the trains. Testing the ride to train employees and work out other bugs while they make new track isn't going to really hurt the trains since it's short term. Had they not fixed the problem and run the trains thousands of times a day for many many years, it would've become an issue.

Its also good to know, that some of america is a toothpick.

Hey, I'm a toothpick! Gotta watch it, political correctness is key. ;)

Really though, I sat in the seat just for the heck of it, and I felt like I was a little kid with how much room I had! I think I had the restraint all the way down (dead serious), and I still had some room.

Oh, and in case no one caught the wink after the first line, yes, I was being sarcastic.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Female - 5'7" 245 pounds.. had more than 3 inches (after the yellow line), much more fat people friendly than MF or Dragster.

Side note - Dragster was not much of a problem at all this year. MF was still a struggle, but doable, losing that 51 pounds sure did help!

I had a chance to sit in the Maverick test seat today. While it is comfortable while standing still (uhh, sitting still?), I'm not sure how it'll be on the ride. Side-to-side jerking looks like it might cause your head to bump into the shoulder restraints, and they aren't that soft.

..Al

Yeah, people were like ... standing there and forcing their way over the barriers because the test seat was closed.

I sat in it!

It doesn't hold me very well =S.
