maXair Queue too short

Ding ding ding!!! We've got a winner! Tell him what he's won, Johnny...

Didn't you guys learn anything from RCT? If you have an extremely popular ride and you can only increase the capacity to a finite amount, then your last option for getting people to stop complaining about the length of the wait is to limit the length of the queue. Another reason is what the other people in this thread have been saying. In a few years that ride will be as dead as everything else in that part of the park. I mean WT is a roller coaster and it generally doesn't have more of a wait than 15-30 minutes.

Actually, the queue holds only enough peeps for a 15-20 minute wait at most. But that's what portable queues are for.

As for other ride's queues, contrary to what's been said already, queues at CP are no where near permanent- Raptor's has changed dramatically over the years, Mantis's slowly morphed over the years (especially in 2000), MF's finaly switchbacks have been altered, Mean Streak's queue route took a few different turns (remember the soda stand?), and the list goes on.

Those complete queues are there for the busy weeks of the summer, when employee talent can be used elsewhere other than overflow crowd control.

Which is baffling me about Max's small setup. But I'll still sleep tonight ;)

Kind of off topic, but did anyone notice that mean streak has lost most of the shade covers over its que area?

The que line for delirium is much longer than maXair,s que and was full or near full the last few times I have been there. I think that maXair will need a longer que line.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

yes CPbound, but the people in RCT dont start forming a line outside the que in the game...but dont make a big deal out of the que...im sure if it did become a problem, i think magnum and mean streak could spare a few que rails.

airtime....you're one 'ue' short of a full 'queue' :)

I'm sure they planned the permanent queue to take as little space as possible with the expectation that during busier months they can add temporary rails to handle overflow. Heck, look at Worlds Largest Amusement Park -- the line for Millenium stretches quite a ways down the frontier trail. We're talking back beyond the overbank.
