Monday night May 29

Met up with some friends tried to meet with Jo but she was already going home. (I'm shocked). We walked the whole park a couple times.

When the lines died down we hit skyhawk. I like this ride more and more each time. Hopefully it will be another underrated ride (like WT) thus keeping the line short. The airtime at the top is very good. I was shocked by how quick you get going and what that air power can do. It really puts maxair to shame.

Raptor was running great, with some of the fastest runs I've been on.

One other note to mention is something that has come back that I like is customer interaction with the ride ops. The Skyhawk crew was great. The faces on the newbies riding it were all smiles. With the lower prices and that kind of interaction from ride ops people should walk away feeling great and seeing a good value.

The only problem per say is the lack of places to buy cotton candy. There was only one shop open (which I can't remember what is was). At the front of the park before centennial theatre, on the left side if you are entering the park from outside it. Anyway with as busy as it was that day I hoped I would have seen the carts out on the midway. That disappoints me a bit, you have something at 25 cents yet only one place is selling it??? I'm confused. Other then that the park was great.

Oh and I guess I should give a update on the construction.....OH THEY MVED SME DIRT111!!!!!

I share your opinion of Skyhawk, and also hope the lines are short.

Oh, and thanks for the construction update! :)

with as busy as it was that day

I expected to see at least one cart somewhere, too. But, we hardly waited for anything all day. Granted, I was with folks who weren't looking to ride the majors, but even so we were pretty pleased at the overall lack of lines throughout the park. Early afternoon on a blistering hot day, and Thunder Canyon was maybe 15 minutes!

Other notoriously long lines that those of us with younger kids experience (wildcat, woodstock) were relatively short, too. I think our longest wait was Corkscrew at probably around 20, and that was primarily because, for whatever reason, dispatch interval was *horrible*. It doesn't seem to only be the seatbelts either; there were several people who were unable to grasp the notion that one must leave loose articles in the bins.

Any thoughts on the automatic spiel versus ride ops spieling causing delays in not only seatbelts but loose items as well? Just curious what you all think about it...

Not really because the ops are using wireless headsets. They are able to check restraints and do the spiel at the same time.

I was specifically talking about Corkscrew where auto-spiels are still being used!
