Near Riot Breaks Out In Magnum Station

More proof that there needs to be some traffic control in the Magnum station...

Last night (8-20) there was a guy who came into the station being a straight up jerk and was down right screaming and yelling non-sence crap for the whole station to hear. After a few people ask him to stop/shut up, he continued on and only became louder and louder. After awhile, the whole station became really quite, which was filled to the brim with people. As the guy kept on yelling and screaming, you could feel tension building in the station.

So, as I got a little closer to getting on, the dude next to me decided to take his water bottle and chuck at this guy who was about 5 rows over from him, as the guy was still yelling and screaming. Some how, the bottle didn't hit anyone who was in the cross fire, but it DRILLED the guy right in the face (which was one of the funniest things I've ever seen). So the guy then turns around, looking all pissed off, and decideds to *try* to jump over his rail, but because there were so many people, he was unable to reach the dude next to me.

Sooooo....after about 3 trains, the guy, and the dude, as well as me, we're all next to *get on the ride*. As soon as the air gates opened everyone but the guy headed for their seats, but the guy was still to pissed off to let it go. So he decideds it would be a wise idea to try to kick the dudes ass. The guy starts yelling and screaming again, well, only at the dude, and he then trys to charge him. But before he could get a running start, a ride operation and a few by standers grabbed him. Somehow they managed to get the guy over to the exit ramp, and called security. The dude on the other hand, was able to ride in the seat infront of me.

After the ride, we were stopped (really hard, btw) in the brakes just outside of the last tunnle. I looked over and there were tons of security people over at the station, escorting the guy out. So when we pulled up to the station and got out, a few security guys were still around and then got the dude for throwing the water bottle.

All in all some funny stuff, in a way. But man, something needs to be done right away, or something like this is going to happen again (which it will, only with time) but much worse.

LMFAO

both guys are dumbasses...

It's funny someone hit the guy with a water bottle, in the head especially. But, why did the guy start yelling in the first place? I mean, there has to be a reason.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

I was there today and there was someone at the top of the steps all day, but did nothing to stop traffic in the station. That's become a joke anymore.

Wow. Dang. Crap. Weren't you worried that the crazy guy was going to pull a gun or something?

I think its great he hit him in the head with a water bottle. You can't expect to be that much of a retard and get away with it. Maybe it wasn't the most "mature" way to go about it, but I sure was laughing my head off when I just read that. I can only imagine seeing it.

I don't understand why there is someone at the top of the stairs if they just let an unlimited number of people onto the platform.

What does poor station design have to do with a guy being a jerk? He wouldn't be able to make a scene in a well-designed station?

Yeah Walt.. a well designed station would have lookouts for SNIPERS.

I'm suprised with all the commotion he was making that security wasn't there sooner.

The crowded station certainly wasn't the cause, but it could have made things far worse.

I'm not saying the station is poorly design...heck I could careless. What I care about is the amount of people that are always up there. God, I feel like a cow about to be shipped away in a boxcar everytime I wait for this ride.

Anyway, the guy was yelling and screaming just to be an ass. He wasn't even saying anything, just non-sence.

Just coincidence. The guy was probably drunk or like you said,a downright jerk. It could have happened in the MF or Dragster station as well. The magnum station might have actually prevented the guy from getting at the other guy. Still,no excuse to throw a bottle, had it hit a kid in the eye who knows what could have happened.

The only time the girl stopped traffic, the station was completely filled with 6 or 7 trains. The worst part is the fact that even though freeway was cancelled, they still have to have someone stationed at the freeway's entrance to tell everyone that that is not the real entrance.

"...just non-sence"

The irony...

I got to the park at 5:30 and there was nobody at the top of the stairs when I rode at 5:45.

Something needs to be done about that, but I agree with Jeff. What does a crowded station have to do with a guy being an ***?

Thats a pretty funny story what did they do to the jerk after he was out of the station

Top Thrill Dragster....Always number one

"What does a crowded station have to do with a guy being an ***?"

Hmmm...lets think about that for a second. 400 or more people jammed into a small area + loud *** + pissed off people + airborne water bottles = potential riot.

"...what did they do to the jerk after he was out of the station?"

No clue, the last I saw, he was behind the Magnum Photo shop.

The three times I rode, noon, 12:15 and 9ish there was a person stationed.

I thought the whole point of getting rid of it was "budget-cuts"? Seems stupid... couldn't they put a plant or something at the entrance to block it instead of paying someone?
