New Slogan?

Just caught the new Cedar Point commercial for 2010 and it definitely used the slogan "the fun and only". It was a horrible commericial too ... very dissappointed. It looked like a commercial kennywood or some other smaller park would put out, not a world class amusement park. It felt really cheap and low budget.

I haven't seen the new commercial yet but was it along the lines of this one. Where there is a bunch of kids holding boxes and dancing.

^ Wow, lets hope not.

I should note while at Kings Island not one time did I hear a ride op say "King Island the Fun and Only!" everytime on Diamondback they were saying "Kings Island, Where Else?" and that was the norm on other rides as well.

Lets hope this means we'll still hear "Americas Roller Coast"

@pointperson: What the hell was that? That looked like a locally produced cable access commercial.

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I can not find any commercial for CP this year. It is really low budget with all the green screen effects. It is easy to edit accordingly for each park.

Cedar Point is now running a commercial similar to the horrible Kings Dominion one with the kids dancing and doing cartwheels in Toledo. The whole thing is really annoying in my opinion. I wonder what non-enthusiasts think about this?

They have been playing it here every night this week. Reminds me of the (usually horrid) "local" commercials.

It's almost as if Cedar Fair axed their former ad company and produced this piece of sheist in house....

Worlds of Fun is using that same song for their radio spots, in addition to the ride warriors. but the only TV ads I have seen were the ride warrior ones.

You don't suppose they're clever enough to use reverse psychology, do you? "Hey, this must be a cheap place to visit! Look at the piece of crap commercial they made!"

Haha I like that logic Mike.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I just can't wrap my head around what they're trying to do. It's like some ad that a local agency shot for $2,000. And yet they're using it (apparently) for all or most of their parks. Guys, it's great if you want to get production value by reusing the same commercial for different markets. But seriously, this ad is for crap.

I also do find it pretty tacky. Bring back the ride on commercials from last year! Those were wayyy better!

Looks like a commercial they would advertise a children show for, but I thought it was alright. Last years were definitely better, but what can you do.
Cedar Fair is trying to save money though so one year of commercials like this isn't so bad.

Wikipedia really needs to update their slogan for Cedar Point. It still says "America's Rollercoast", and "Ride On". I thought it would stay like that, but now that I just watched that Cedar Point commercial on YouTube...just..
*sigh*
*facepalm*

^Don't use wikipedia as a source. I put Fun and Only on there, but its under Slogans. It won't be official until I hear it in the station.

As for the new slogan, I don't think Ride On is going to be completely phased out. If you take a look at the Ride Warrior Nation Facebook page, you'll see the new Cedar Point Anthem commercial, which is a helluva lot better than the Fun and Only commercials, even though it includes some non-CP coasters in the commercial. I can understand trying to save money like they did on the Ride Warrior commercials, but would it kill them to at least change the kids around for the different park commercials? KI, CP, and Canda's Wonderland look exactly the same. I'm guessing its the same for all the other parks, but I didn't watch them.
