News: Pieces of Cedar Point's mystery ride revealed

I think everyone is making too big of a deal about the track arriving before the supports. I'm sure they still have weeks of site prepping to do before any vertical construction starts. The supports will probably show up soon. Every coaster has supports and the supports must be there before the track is put into place. So what does it matter? The track arriving before the supports is absolutely no indicator about what the ride may be like.

Season Pass Holder-2003/2004/2005/2006

This is my idea and I am sticking too it....

1.) It is going to be a prototype flyer from intamin.... The reason i say that is because it will be revolutinary it will proabbly be the tallest and also the fastest and can loop and do the things too fit the signs.

2.) Another reason that I say flyer is that cedarpoint will be able to dodge the whold restraint problem that has plauged milli and TTD.

And yes we do have a right to worry about restraints because I have not yet been able to ride WT or TTD not due to downtime but due to the fact that I can not fit in the harness for either. So yes I have a very big right to be concerned about the harness for the new ride...

Please God, do not let it be a flyer!

Sence its back that, maybe it'll be a wild west themed ride? ;) *** Edited 5/11/2006 3:24:22 PM UTC by Daniel Smith***

Not surprised you put a question mark at the end, apparently you didn't understand what you typed either.

Amen brother Tambo. Halleluiah and Amen to that.

Guys, c'mon. Does it look like a flyer?

We can use a crane and a quick-release cable to make the track look like a flier, I mean flying.

I don't think that track before supports means anything at all, if you guys remember dragster track arrived before dragster supports

I have not read the whole thread, but does anyone think that this is just replacement track for ttd?

what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard.
Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it.
I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

A) Why would they be replacing track

B) Where would dragster be making use of a curved piece of 3 sided track?

C) why would you bother posting a question without reading the entire post?

Not to mention that they rarely replace track. And if TTD were in such bad shape that track needed to be replaced, it would likely be closed right now.

And you might as well just send it back for a partial refund rather than spend the time and money.

Because I was too lazy to read the whole thread. I just read thrue the 10 pages on coasterbuzz.

Sure they rarely replace track, but it was just a suggestion because it looked like the same type of track as ttd to me.

TTD doesnt use any triangular track. And I have never heard of any steel coaster needing replacement track. The wheels on a steel coaster are coated with nylon or polyurethane. This leads to no wear whatsoever on the track.

Then what was up with the track replacement on Magnum last year?

I would have banked dollars to donuts that Jeff said enthusiasts would be pleased ...

I think he did too, but it wasn't clear whether he was referring to coaster enthusiasts or enthusiast of White Water Landing.

Please do not let this be Aqua-trax.

Well, as far as I know B&M and Vekoma are the only ones making Flyers. And seeing as how pretty much everyone is in agreement that this is Intamin track, it's basicly a lock that we're not getting a flyer.

Can't find it, but I swear I remember hearing about them removing a section of the track and replacing it. If I'm going crazy then someone call the men in white coats.
