I know this may be a touchy subject for some but i was just wondering how much you have made before on average over the whole summer and about how many hours you work a week. Thanks :)

I work as many hours as I can. More than 40 more like 50 - 60 hours. Lots of O-C's (Open to Close) and minimum wage. So a 2 week check, we get paid bi-weekly, can be around 588 (7.35 * 40 hours) before taxes to 882 before taxes (7.35 * 60 hours). Hours also depend on when we close because times differ.

Possible schedule times are:
SPL (Split) open to 1:30, go home at 1:30 come back at 6:00 until close.
11:30 - close
1:30 - close (Usually have this after your day off)

11:30 - 8:00
1:30 - 8:00 (if you have a big crew you will see smaller scheduled hours)
Open - 8:00

(8:00 means out at 8 or when breaks are done, you get cutback early if breaks finish early or stay until after breaks are done which may be passed 8:00)

Open - 6:00 (Usually see this if you have the next day off)
Open - Close (O - C)

In my experience I have also seen:
1:30 - 6:00
11:30 - 6:00

Also, with these 2 times, you may also be asked to work another ride or what ever department you're in to help out other crews with breaks.

I work rides so the hours may very depending on department. This is my 4th season and this has been what I've experienced.

There are always ways to pick up hours as well! And if you have an O - C and want to switch to leave early, the internationals love getting more hours so ask them! But be cautious about that because you don't want your hours cut if you consistently trade hours for shorter hours.

Hey, I just thought I would throw it out there. O-8's are very funny little shifts... bascialy the 8 is just an estimation of when you will get done. It all has to do with breaks. If breaks are going very slow for whatever reason (shorthanded crew, TL meetings, extra projects) then it is possable to work later than 8. I have seen cutbacks (someone who works an O-8) leave as late as 8:45. Usually if breaks are going good a cutback can get out between 6:45 and 7:30.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

This is a little off topic, but you seem very knowledgeable. How does the clocking in system work there? I've used a number of different types of systems from computer to hand written. And when you say stay later than 8 are you still on the clock or is that unpaid time? I've had bosses try to keep me late unpaid and do not appreciate it. Is this something I'm going to have to worry about at CP?

Any word on a bonus this year?

no bonus this year..

the time clock works off your id tag.. you will have one that you will use all the time around were you work. and you will get paid for the time you worked as you will clock in/out and write in/out at your stand or ride . no free work here..
