Gemini was marketed as the tallest, fastest, and steepest in the world. Im not sure why it was if it wasn't.

Gemini was advertised as the tallest and fastest coaster when it opened. The drop on Loch Ness is 114' compared to Gemini's 118', I don't know how terrain may effect the actual height measurement. The RCDB does list Screamin' Eagle as going 62 mph but I don't know how they get that as the drop is only 92'. In any case, the ride operators on Gemini are correct as the coaster was advertised by CP as being the tallest and fastest.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I gotta stop with songs and bands. Please Tony put an end to this madness. Just hope it's a unique name.

I wonder what time we are going to find out this information that Tony tweeted about the other day?

Maverick. All day. Everyday.

Screamin Eagle, just based off of POVs, doesn't look like it reaches its top speed until the third hill or later. It uses the terrain very effectively.

CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium

TBH I hope they tear Gemini down at some point. That's just my opinion haha. But before they do that please get rid of corkscrew and maybe Iron Dragon and while they are at it take Cedar Creek down as well! Haha Just dreaming over here.

Maverick. All day. Everyday.

Info is now posted regarding the contest.

Ride-on

I tried my best to write up a transcript of the audio:

We interrupt this radio broadcast to bring you breaking news. There's something going on out west and you can be a part of it. The Boneville Gazette, in conjunction with WRMC 1870 AM Radio is presenting a special contest for lucky listeners to be the first to learn what's new at Cedar Point in 2018. Fifty lucky listeners will be chosen to come to the park just days before the public announcement and see for themselves what's been hiding on the other side of the tracks. They'll also each receive 2 tickets to the park, good for their visit that day. To be considered, submit a letter to the editor in 4 sentences or less, telling the Gazette what makes Frontier Town the best place to live for the law-abidin' folk who call it home. And the most important part, don't forget to tell us your cowboy or cowgirl nickname. You know, like George "French Fries" Newsome, or Sally "Eagle-eyed" Weston. Send your letter, along with your name, age, phone number, email address, and hometown to:
Tony "Calamity" Clark
1 Cedar Point Drive
Sandusky, OH 44870
Letters must be received by July 31st for consideration. Good luck from your friends at the Boneville Gazette and WRMC 1870!

Ill agree with about cork screw but Gemini is a great family type coaster and iron dragon is also very fun and seems to always have a long line from all the times I have been to the park

Yeah I like Iron Dragon. I could be just fine never riding corkscrew again. Way to rough. I rode a similar coaster at Carowinds (Carolina Cycolne) and I got whiplash. Arrow's are terrible ( with age) IMO.

Ehhh. Magnum is alright. I don't ride it anymore. Those airtime hills on the way back to the station kill my legs. But mostly its the looping Arrow's and their OTS restraints.

Unpopular opinion: Gemini is the best Arrow in the park, and I hope CP never gets rid of it.

Go ahead, shoot me.

Secret to not getting your legs killed on those hills is to only sit in the middle row of a car.

Don't sit over the wheels and you won't have as much trouble on those hills.

I'll try it! I mostly like to sit in front of every coaster but maybe i'll try it so I can ride that thing again haha

The front of the train is a lot more aggressive than the back. Sit in the 2nd to last row for the airtime to not kill you. You also can pull the seatbelt as hard as you can to prevent any sort of lapbar pain.

SV ruins all other rides.
