Definitely April fools.

I bet they could save money if they just get a local boy scouts or youth group to do it for volunteer hours

argues just for clicks

I know TTD was supposed to be painted last year. Wonder why they didn't even follow through with it this year?

I read it was because it presented a big challenge and would be difficult to do and would require extensive planning.

How many years do you think it will take to paint? I think it would look strange half bright gold and half faded yellow.

I would guess 2. One of the problems with painting is you only have short windows to do it. You can really only paint in April and during the week during Halloweekends like they did with Rougarou.

I think TTD could get done in one season. Sure it's tall, but it's not that long of a track.

It might only be 2800' of track but you have to think about how you are going to access a lot of that track to paint it. Think rappelling. When you consider access, the cost of finding someone with the skills to perform the task, the limited weather opportunities, etc., you are looking at a very challenging, costly and likely multiphase project.

I would think that the track portion alone would be a pain to paint because there are so many small sections or spokes (if thats what you would call them) on it.

Hahahaha^

But I think it will take just a tad more than a few months to paint TTD. More like a year or two.

What I would do is paint Raptor every 2 to 3 years. You have to to combat all the bird excrement. It's like Raptor is a huge sign to birds saying "Crap Here".
TTD is a multi-year project to paint. It will also be almost half a million dollars to completely repaint.

The god of speculation

Wicked Twister. It will be 15 years old next year and still has it's original paint. I'm astounded on how bad and faded the supports have looked in each of my visits this year. Please, CP, paint this ride!! Hahaha.

New for 2015! An updated Wicked Twister (Lakeside) midway! A relocated Dodgem, a rethemed Calypso to Tiki Twirl, new mini Dodgem signs....BUT same OLD looking Wicked Twister on it's own midway. How did that miss the love?

Now onto rides that need updates....how about some attention (maybe some new LED lights) for Witches Wheel 40th, to tie into that nice new shiny Resorts Gate/CPS entrance next year? That would be nice.

You know (and this makes me feel old), Maverick could actually use a new coat of paint.
