What rides need paint jobs?

If it was intended to look rustic, maybe. Now it just looks faded and rusted, not rustic. There's nothing wrong with steel looking shiny and well maintained, it just looks sad and neglected.

Isn't that was rustic is? I think it looks good the way it is. I cant seem to remember anything with all shiny new paint in the old west.

That's because you don't remember anything from the old west. Unless you're a time traveler. In which case, what's the park installing for 2019-25?

Just because pictures from that era don't show it is no reason to assume people didn't appreciate things looking well-kept in the old west (or at any time in human history). I mean, it's not as if paint is a recent invention. Look elsewhere in/on FT/FT for examples - Town Hall, Last Chance Saloon, Red Garter, etc. People liking shiny things is not in any way a new concept.

Maverick needs painted.

I think on this one, we will just agree to disagree. I personally like the old look of it but that's just me.

An old look is fine if it's intentional. A faded look is not so good, it looks more like neglect.

Paint Maverick to look old, rusty, and dusty and I'll be with ya on this one.

There's a difference between ghost town and Wild West and the distinction is that if you feel Frontier Town is meant to be visited as a present reality, then it needs to be shiny and colorful, like the streets of a western town would have been in the 1800s.

But if it's supposed to be a ghost town, then by all means have everything covered in cobwebs, faded, dusty, and grimy.

That being said, at least in my eyes, Frontier Town and Frontier Trail are meant to look as if I were walking through a current Wild West town.

In other words, Maverick needs paint.

Do you think most people even notice Maverick's paint job, with much of the ride behind vegetation or sufficiently far away to make the paint not obvious? It's not rusted, just faded and weathered.

Put me in the camp where I think it looks ok in an old west setting. And I think most guests wouldn't really inspect the paint, I think this is just an enthusiast thing.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.
