Ya, it would. someone in my group also said that witches wheel was getting a new lighting package, but that has not been confirmed.

I dont know who your guides were, but the one that said RMC makeovers are almost as expensive as a new coaster must not be considering that in the end the park gets a new coaster... Right?...

I think they said that the change from Mantis to Rogarou from standup to floorless was too expensive also, we will just have to wait and see. The WT midway makeover was a great move and the change of OTSR's on Maverick to I305 type was a nice touch. All in all some very good news from the park on Saturday.

Like others have said that area is a lot of land. If just one coaster takes up all that space I will be disappointed. You could easily fit a coaster, some flats, and even a new show. This may be a multi-year project.

Because it was not important. It was a slide in the show that was on screen for a second. Compare to Walt's "wrong slide" a few years ago.

Wow, really, not important you say? It's called a teaser, and teasers do exactly that, tease.

Either this photo (courtesy of Google) was the one flashed, or it was something really close.

"Coasters are in our DNA," RMC coasters have lots of helical elements, you figure it out.

Now we're reading into "DNA" as helices? Elements found in every kind of coaster?

Just a case of patternicity; meaningless patterns in meaningless noise.

All these changes sound very positive, and like everyone else I think it will be exciting to see what lies ahead for the newly cleared area.

Was there any mention at all about what theming elements might be added to Rougarou?

Did they mention if the Marina Gate be usable during the 2015 for entry and Millennium Force Walkback entry or is there a different gate to use?

Someone asked them that question apparently, and they responded saying that information isn't public yet.

They will be doing the walk back on Saturdays this year. The marina gate will, of course, be usable. They need it for the marina obviously. They did say it will be new, but I don't remember if it is being renovated for this year or for some time in the future.

Somebody asked what will be going on with the live entertainment now that the Good Time Theater is gone and Tony said that they will be building a new venue in the area where Good Time Theater was.

Yeah I highly doubt he said that. Why would he just give away that kind of information just like that. Also if this was revealed we would've heard about it a lot sooner. And they put teasers up about the construction at the GTT location and wouldn't reveal anything about what will go there. (A Big Pile Of Rubble- ??!?$@&!)

My observation through the years is that there isn't all that much traffic between the marina and the park. People like to park their boats there, but they don't go in that often, if at all.
That gate is used primarily by employees, people that go to Famous Dave's, and those that use the ferry. Too bad it's such a hike from the parking lot.

My guess is the Marina gate will stay as is this year and change with whatever they have planned for '16.

Can anyone think of another gated amusement park that has as many as 4 public entrances? I can't off hand.

Did they say anything about the red dorms next to Goodtime Theatre?

Nothing was mentioned about the red dorms. Other then that 'oops' slide, no hints were provided as to what the plans are for this chunk of real estate.

Somebody asked if they were tearing down Cedars Dorm. The answer was if we tear it down where will the employees stay?

At least on my pier, the seasonal dockers go into the park quite often, if for no other reason than to get their meal plan food. I had 57 admissions last year and my dock neighbor had 56. The gate is an important point of access for marina customers.

If you want to find out how many admissions you had, ask the worker at the gate. They can easily access the computer for that information.

They'd build another off-Point dorm, just like they did when they took down Golds. That's more of a non-answer than anything.

I just repeated the answer. I didn't say it was a good one.

Don't take it personally; I'm just commenting on it. If that's the answer the park gave, it was more of a non-answer than anything. There are other things they could do.

What new dorms that replaced gold are you speaking of?

By that he could've meant turning Celebration Plaza into a more feasible venue. The stage setup is good, but the seating and foot traffic is horrible. Increased seating and routing foot traffic around instead of through the area would be a significant improvement. I could easily see that being on the agenda in addition to several other things.
