Welcome to New York City

Hmm....Laura...Can't look at the profile anymore. :::smile:::

Bye bye. BTW the Chaos at MIA is completely gone. In the back lot by the waterpark at MIA all I see are old Toll booths. No remnants of a great ride with a bad history. I will just have to head down to CP again and ride it. Is it 100% functional again?

Here is a picture I took on the evening of the 17th. Notice the sparks to the right of the three workers...they were grinding the heck out of something.

From an older post in the thread: Chance Ride impressions:

http://www.rides.com/products.html

Inverter: Like a European flat ride, but not as good. Basically a cut-rate Huss ride.

Carousels: Plastic knock-off on the real thing. They do jump, though, which is something.

Big Dipper: Decent little kiddie ride.

Chaos: Much-maligned recently, but I do like these.

Wipeout: Like a Trabant, but bigger and faster. Does some things better, some things worse. More comfortable.

Yo-Yo: When it yos (Michigan's Adventure), these things are swings from hell. Even when they don't they give a good ride (Indiana Beach).

Century Wheel: It's not a Schwarzkopf, but it's decent.

Alpine Bobs: See Inverter

Zipper: Old-school. Insane when it runs right.

C.P. Huntington: Little mini mall-type trains just don't cut it in amusement parks.

I have rode Chaos and it seems as good as new when I first rode it and loved it.What happened at another park and their ride scared me to the point I refused to ride it but CP is not the other park and they would try their best to not let anything bad happen on one of their rides.

Do you have any idea how irritating it is to see "::smile::" in every post you make?"

For some reason, that cracked me up. :) ::smile:

The first time I rode Chaos was at Knotts Berry Farm, and I loved it! I think I rode it before CF bought KBF, so it would have been before CP got Chaos. I think. I'm confusing myself! ;-)

BTW: I'm new here! My name is Kayleigh, I live in MI, and I get to go to CP for two days in late August, yay!

Ok, if anybody is curious about the part that fell off, you can see it in this photo I took of the Chaos @ SFNE. http://www.alternativegaming.net/~sfne/images/P1010028.JPG . You can just barely see it to the right of the main arm up near the top. Hope this helps...
