Maverick Tunnel Themeing

Well, unless I'm mistaken, the Mist was only running for the red cross riders, and the water bombs didn't start until media day. So, no one has experienced all three at the same time.

The Mist was turned back on last Thursday, but without the water bombs and fire hose. But apparently, on Friday, all 3 were running.

I was at the park on Friday and yes they had all 3 effects working. I must say with all the effects working it is pretty cool. But then on Saturday they only had the water bombs, so the tunnel wasn't as fun but still good. I believe Sunday was the same thing I couldn't be bothered to ride since my shoulders just couldn't' take anymore.

You are correct. On Sunday the water bombs were working, but nothing in the tunnel nor the fire hose. I get why the mist isn't on, but what is with the fire hose? Are they actually having issues with it?

Was in windy when it was shut off? If so, maybe they've gotten feedback as to how it's not comfortable flying through the over spary at 50-60mph. I've had rides where I havn't gotten wet, and I've had rides that were uncomfortable. I can only assume the wind plays a factor.

The ride host who I asked said that the hose should be on regardless... they don't turn it off for wind or anything. But, it's clear that it does'nt always work.

I went on August 20 and all the lights in the tunnel were on then.

Enjoy the rest of your day at America's Rockin' Roller Coast! Ride On!

Weren't there originally train crossing signals and noise? Are those on as well?

Yes, as soon as you enter the tunnel there are train crossing signs with lights. I also wonder if they are working.

Nothing was working on the 28th.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

The LED lights and the train crossing lights are definitely working as well as the water bombs. However, the sound effects are not.

The train sound wasn't working. But, all 4 water bombs were. I haven't seen more than 3 working in quite a while.

^ Right. Most of the time, none of them are even working when I'm there. For some reason, CP usually tends to fix the water bombs right before Halloweekends, and then it gets cold to even want to feel the mist from them.

All of the lights towards the end of the tunnel seemed to be working. The railroad crossing lights at each pedestrian crossing seemed to be working as well.

The train crossing always made sense to me, and was clever. The LED club lights at the end of the tunnel, not so much.

Agreed. I figured the bright LED lights were supposed to give the illusion of being launched into a train. But, it would have made more sense if there was just a single round bright white LED in the middle.

There is a single large white light in the middle at the end of the tunnel. I never thought of the LEDs as theming as much as something to visually enhance the speed of the launch.

Zombie thread resurrection.....

Will they ever turn back on the lights that lit up in sequence towards you as the train launched you forward, this was the coolest effect that I seen on the ride. Every time i go thru the tunnel i scream WHERES THE LIGHTS, wonder if they hear it in the station?

^ Not sure, but in regards to Maverick theming here is my question.

I was recently on YouTube watching old POVs and watched the Maverick animation. I noticed that I belive after the airtime hill there was water tower structure that went over the track along with wooden beams and other theming at other parts of the ride. Would o be right in saying those will never be added the ride?
