Review process

So unfortunately, since I would not be able to come to Sandusky after August for the Halloweekends, my application in rides department has been dropped. He did say my application would be forwarded to other departments. I hope that I get hired in one of the others. Are there any ideas on how long it is until I would hear from another department? I want to be able to know so that way I can pick up immediately. (I am guessing on Tuesday, since they probably review applications on Weekdays and not Weekends.)

If you can't start until August, I doubt any department will hire you now. I think you jumped the gun. They're hiring now for positions that start in May. They usually take applications for Halloweekends around late summer. I think your application stays in the system for the entire season. Maybe call them when it's closer to when you can start.

I think you may have misread the first sentence in Jakinator178's post :)

Oh. I meant to say to all of you that I would be starting in April, and could not return beyond August. In other words I can be available for main season but I can not return after August. If you could answer using that information I would appreciate it.

Oops, yes I did misread it. Then it can be any time that you will hear from another department. When I worked at the park in 2005, I worked at linen services and was not required to come back for Halloweekends. My contract ended in August. Keep in mind, it's still very early in the process.

Like Thabto said, it is still very early in the hiring process. Patience is key, and as TwistedWicker77 said above, keep an eye on your email, and if another 419 area code calls, answer.

You guys have been very helpful answering all my questions. I appreciate it.

Does anyone know the names of the hiring managers of the different departments?

Rides:
Manager of Ride operations: Karrah Folk

Area 1: Katy Brisson- Gatekeeper, Raptor, Blue Streak, Ocean Motion/Carousel, Wicked Twister, maXair/Dodgems, Giant Wheel/Tiki Twirl/Troika, Kiddie Kingdom, Cadillac Cars/Cedar Downs, Planet Snoopy, and SkyRide

Area 2: Shaun Hill- Valravn, Windseeker, Power Tower, Corkscrew/Super Himalaya, Matterhorn/Scrambler, Magnum, Monster/Witches Wheel, Top Thrill Dragster, Millennium Force, Rougarou, and Iron Dragon

Area 3/Challenge Park: Debra Reinauer- Shoot the Rapids, Thunder Canyon, Snake River Falls, Antique Cars/Wave Swinger, Skyhawk, Maverick, Mean Streak, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Slingshot, Gemini, Camp Snoopy, Pipe Scream/Lake Erie Eagles, and the Cedar Point and Lake Erie Railroad. Skyscraper, Ripcord, Go Karts.

Rides Supervisor: Mandy Brayn

I might have missed a few rides in there, but with me listing them, it should give you an understanding of which rides in those certain areas are considered in each manager's area.

If the process for first years goes like it did last year, if you do well enough on the phone interview you will proceed to a skype interview with your manager, which will then determine if you're hired.

MagmMForce247 were you already hired for this season?

Sorry for the late response, but yes I have been.
