To Mantis Ops

I was there on the 25th and I swear we were stacked for like 5 or 6 minutes. It was so boring. I think it was because they were helping handicapped people into the train. There were a lot of them there that day.

I was there the 27th and 28th, and while I was around the Mantis, the stacking was minimal, if at all!!!! Great job, everyone! I was very impressed over last year!
Brett, the belts were added due to vibrations popping the harnesses up. B&M recalled other Stand-up trains as well to add belts. Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom had them added also. I know they can be a hassle. Too bad they can't be a couple of inches longer.
when i rode it, it had 4 trains going at once and the lines were going fast. I only had to wait 15 minutes! *** This post was edited by coasterdude14 on 6/1/2000. ***

We took a train from MF for all the people who wanna sit down and transfered it on last nite.
i heard they were gonna put CC's van on the track because it can take 94 people in one go.
I thought Mantis had 3 trains.

I would like to congratulate the mantis ops for one heck of a ERT night at coastermania. No stacking, great fun ride ops. I even got them to say Banshee. I was the one with the Raptor shirt riding with LuvRaptor and Vince. That was the best rides I have had on Mantis or ah Banshee ever!!!! Great job. When you ride ops are fun and outgoing it makes the ride another million times better!!!!

Ditto Hooper-well said-it was a BLAST and the high point of my Coastermania trip riding Mantis-
uh I mean Banshee 12x in 35 minutes---
it was even more fun when we got R.I. to join in on the last ride-suit and all!
I must admit-riding is ALOT more fun when the crew gets NUTS (like we definitely were)
Thanks!!! Job well done!!

Welcome back Raptor riders-how was your flight??
yea,i rode it on coastermania and i think the mantis crew did a great job.....kudos to you guys
Don't you remember the 4th train?! it was the GhostTrain...BANSHEE!!! LOL
I also would like to thank the Mantis opps for their efforts this year. Durring Coastermania it was awsome!!! Best ride I've ever had on Mantis. BTW, durring the ERT I was the spikey haired 16 Yr. old in the front seat of the 6th train to go during the ERT, the one that was realy realy LOUD, and the op did'nt even have to ask how our ride was.

True, the crew is doing a great job this year, in comparison to most of last year. But remember, it's only mid-june. I just hope they can keep their heads up until the end of the summer. It's gotta be a tough ride to run. And Raptor will always have the funniest crew, it's a tradition.

"single riders will be split in half"
Yeah, you guys were great at CM. Between the hour before CM and during CM I got in approx. 25 rides. I was the red haired 17 y/o guy with a Mantis shirt.
I've ridden the Mantis 5 times so far this year, and multiple times last year, and I must say that this year's crew is exceptional. Especially the blue tags I've seen on the ride. Also, I was in the park the other day when the ride had some down time and the crew kept everyone entertained. There was a girl walking through the line making sure everybody knew what was wrong and she stopped to talk with my family and myself for a few minutes. She was very pleasant and made the day go much better. Kudos to the crew at Mantis this year. You definitely top last year's crew!!!
How long have the lines been this year for mantis? It seems the crew is most likely to know
The lines have usually been about 45 min. during the day
Last year it was not the crew's fault for stacking the trains. If people would STAND-UP, NOT try to SITDOWN then their wouldn't have been STACKING. It's not that hard to stand up on a stand up coaster. I wonder if I go on the Magnum if I should stand up instead of sitting down. lol. The most stupidest thing that I have heard someone say about the Mantis is that it's a stand-up/sitdown coaster. Why are their people who try to sitdown on it?

Guests are either stupid or uninformed, but the poor performance of the ride last year had everything to do with the crew, and I think this year's crew has proven that. Rude operators who are indifferent to efficiency are the reason last year's crew was so bad. This year's crew is operating the same ride and they're doing just fine.
