Update: 5/28 aerial and staging area

I heard they might put the WAVE SWINGER in the front part of the POINT; close to the Blue Streak or the Main Midway.

Looking at the pictures I was baffled by the little half circle of thick footers being put in and also how all the track on site is concaved.

I just went Sunday/Monday, and noticed there are still a lot of steel cast patterns for the footers laying around. I think this supports the "more footers" notion.

My first thought from the layout of the footers was something like Raptor or Mantis, given the relatively small footprint. I was thinking tight and twisting.

The hypothesis of later adding footers in currently open areas of the park opens up a whole new realm of possiblities though. Interesting.

Maybe I can con my buddy into a flyover since I don't have my license yet.

It is interest how all 20+ pieces of track that have arrived so far are twisted in some way. We're not looking at an out-and-back, bunny hill deal.

The pattern of footers between Undertaker U and the Frontier Inn have got me puzzled. I noticed that there is almost a consecutive pattern of 3 large footers(arainged in a triangular position) with small/tall square footers, sometimes 2 of them. Very interesting.....Oh and I saw the track today and the pieces are soo much bigger in person.

I also agree it would make sense for them to be doing work this early: Work now in the section of the park that wasn't going to be open anyway and then in the offseason, continue in the areas that have traffic during the season. Assuming of course, they are going to extend the footprint of what we already see now.

I feel that I completly agree that this will not be an outrageously complex coaster. Just an idea, I feel like the general feel and layout of the coaster will be fast, really close to the ground with minimal inversions of any type but, with extreme over banked turns and helixs. To me nothing is better then when a coaster zips around super close to the ground at high speeds. I couldnt imagine what one would be like if the entire ride revolved around that idea.

I agree, sometimes I just want to ride something that curves around low to the ground. Its a much different type of ride, but equally fulfilling.

Lemon Chill may no longer be sold at Cedar Point, but the guy himself is still apparently working there. :)

The only thing I found amusing (besides the excessive amount of low IQ) was the smilies. Wish we had some of those.:)

Excessive use of smileys are god's way of pointing out the morons in a thread. Seriously, I stopped reading after his 5,000 clapping smileys... I would hope we stick with the basic happy, sad and winking faces around here.

Anyway, I'm surprised Walt even linked us to that site. Why would he want to let us know what it really is?
