Water Main Break

We just walked out of the park.. The only people in now are early entry. Very little to do inside. Glad we have platinum passes, feel bad for the ones that came just for the day.

Even though I am a platinum passholder, I would still be pretty upset if I drove 2 hours to the park and was told to leave. That costs alot of gas to drive up there. They most likely wouldn't give me any money, but I'd be happy if they gave a coupon for a burger or a drink. Something to help offset the cost of wasted gas.

Yeah, that's probably NOT going to happen ^

All of the rides aren't open? I'm in the park now and they aren't all open. GateKeeper and many others. Please, make opinions while watching the webcams at your house while I have first hand knowledge while at the park.

This is too bad. It would seem CP is having a rough start to the season so far. TTD being down, and now the water main break on a SATURDAY, no less. Ugh..what a nightmare.

Realistically, not likely. But seeing that most rides are running now, I think anybody in the park now can still ride. If I got my rides in that I wanted with minimal wait, I'd still be happy, then I could go do something else with the rest of the day.

Everyone right now is herding to guest services and tickets to get their refund.

How is a water main break an sanitary issue? It's not a sewer line.

They changed one of the live webcam's view to the marina, not sure why. And the second cam is showing a view of Mantis and MF. They are probly just trying to empty queues and will close the park after that.

They can't operate toilets or sinks. Also they can't have to causeway open because with no water, fire hazard. Same deal with Hotel Breakers as I'm typing this on my phone as my family is being forced out.

Leave the hypercoaster alone

Rides are closing now. Raptor isn't open anymore so they must be closing slowly.

Looks like MF is still running on the live cam though...

I'm sure the health department would differ with your reasoning. Just saying....I agree with CP's decision to close. You can't have a park be open without water. That's just insane.

This is insaneā€¦so much money will be lost today I can't even imagine.

Right, because fresh water is dangerous until it comes out of a tap.

I mean, I can understand contamination into the water main being a concern, but the people that are around the water shouldn't be an issue. It's not something I'd want to swim in, but whatever.

People can't flush their piss and crap down the toilet and they can't wash their hands.

My favorite thing, however, is the people complaining on the Cedar Point Facebook page about Soak City being closed.

Yeah, but what if there was a fire? You can't put out a fire without water pressure.

It may not be Cedar Point's decision to close. Per the Health Department's and/or fire code and even OSHA, they can close a business if there is no water supply.

Fair enough, but that's not a sanitary issue. :)

Food workers unable to wash their ends, however... that is a sanitary issue.

They are now shutting down the peninsula. Everyone must leave (according to several staff members)
