What changes to the Halloweekends events would you like to see?

You don't want to feel like you're at Cedar Point when you're at Cedar Point? In that case, why go to.. Cedar Point?

1. Agree, but I don't see it happening
2. Remove this crap all together, see the Undertaker @ KI, one element from their haunt that butchers ours
3. They kinda do that to an extent already. Was there Sunday & those screamsters for Eden Musee had fun going down the midway to their haunt
4. Can't really control fog. I really wish I could, but I'm not a wizard
5. Character development?? This is a haunted attraction with small sets, jump scares, and random props. Not a James Cameron movie
6. They try to send through in groups, however with large crowds they have to send groups fast (which usually unfortunately merge) or they conga line the haunts
7. This may happen next year, KI this year had a trick or treat for the young ones back there this year with movies/smores/etc. and seemed to be successful
8. The whole park has deco everywhere. I mean I guess more deco could always be a plus, but what, where, why, etc. Whats lacking here?
9. So you're complaining about stuff you want improved at Cedar Point, so it isn't Cedar Point. I guess we'll go with the Charlie Brown Great Pumpkin deal and box in Gatekeeper on the beach inside of a giant pumpkin. Or turn Top Thrill into a giant piece of Candy Corn.

I wasn't aware that using a fog chiller is considered wizardry. Please, continue though, because you're the expert on all things.

That isn't going to solve every bit of it. There's wind, temp changes, rain, humidity, etc.

Plus forgot to address it, but it's kind of the point to not be able to see in re: to blinding lights/fog..

I never claimed it would solve every bit of it. I only wrote it to correct your ignorance.

In the future, I would love to see a bit more spooky scenery, like the park has had in the past. I get the whole family atmosphere thing they've been going for lately, but I always loved those mannequins and scarier stuff they've used in the past like the Ghoul Buses and such. Also, a Happy Jack's Revenge would be a sweet haunt. I loved the whole toy factory set up, it was cool and creepy!

I can't remember which thread it was but I'd like to see more warm beverages served throughout the park besides Starbucks. I was freezing walking in last Saturday evening, saw the line at Starbucks, kept moving and never did get my hot cup of anything. A latte would have hit the spot, though, or hot cider. Luckily, the walking kept me warm and I'm glad we wore winter coats. A reminder that night how a Christmas at the Point would never work, though!

I wanna see the comeback of Terror Island to the island becasue the Tombstone Terror - Tory walkthrough is too short but it goes right into the Cut Throat Cove area so you add the Cut Throat Cove area to Tombstone Terror - Tory and presto you put in Terror Island back. I used to spend 2 of my 4 hours everyday in Halloweekends 2008 - 2011 just doing CarnEVIL and Terror Island over and over i couldnt get enough of it This is really convient becasue CarnEVIL is like all alone in that area with the exception of Bayou. They would not have to get rid of the but they could do it, the Dinos it can just be a summer thing. Also I am becoming more aware of how much people want Toy Factory back and i read a poll on facebook and it said what was your favorite haunt this year ( coming from 2010 - 2011 ) and literally 60 - 70% voted Toy Factory so if you look at it from a crowd basepoint brining back Toy Factory would be great fro the people and is what the people like. Ironic that they got rid of these both in 2012 these two haunts were missed dearly to me. As for new haunts I say go with the same train haunt at Kings Island it would make the Railroad intresting. For new indoors i feel they should incorperate Vampires into the Halloweekends mix ( a Vampire theme house ) . For shows put a show into the area where All Wheels Extreme is becasue you could do a show there just what? All i know is there is space. Also lastly next walkthrough i hope its in the front of the park becasue i just feel all the walkthroughs are from the middle of the park to the back.

The Zombie High school is pretty good, but in comparison to the other indoor haunts it seems rather tame to me. I would love for them to replace this one and bring the Toy factory back, or better yet buil another building for the Toy Factory. As for Terror Island, I completely agree, although I think they could get away with leaving the dinos there, as dark as it gets back there at night I dont think they need to take them out just for Halloweekends.

I love Zombie High School, lots of detail and a really nice experience touring through the different areas of the "school". The cafeteria reminded me of my high school cafeteria, food was just a unappetizing. 😀

I think the weakest house is the Eternity Infirmary, if something is being replaced for improvements, that's the one that should go.

That space will never be used for a show in the fall. The stage(ramps and tramp walls) itself stays up all year, meaning you would only have a very small portion of the stage that is actually flat to use. Not to mention no one wants to sit in a theater where the majority of the time the wind comes straight off the lake. That theater will capture every bit of wind and will become a very cold, uncomfortable venue for a show.

I mean you cut put up a dome surrounding the top and put in heat! I see your point because I remeber being in the Toy Facotry line awhile back in the wind being strangely cold in that area!

I kinda agree with you on the Toy Facotry part as for Terror Island I just think for my opininon it was the best haunt there period so its worth it to me. That area + That haunt + The Theme + Millenuim Backrond + Forest Landscape + CarnEvil so close to it! = One legendary haunt. I think It would be worth move the dinos into the storage area by Shoot the Rapids that I see while Im on Millenuim!

Dorney Park did a Blackout haunt last year that was available only to fright lane holders. I think that's a great idea!

I wonder if Cedar Point would be able to do this feasibly.

I would love to see a more 'extreme' haunt in the park.

I'd really love CP to bring out one of Geauga Lake's staple haunted attractions: Scary Oldies. The Antique Cars in Frontier Town would be an ideal location for temporary walls and fog machines, plus it gives the actors a lot of mobility.

A long time ago they did something for kids on the Frontier Town Antique Cars. There were a few stops along the route where kids would stop their cars and an actor in a costume would give them some candy. Not quite Scary Oldies but a nice family type thing.

I'd like to see a big change with show direction in regards to everything haunted. Better storylines for the characters, better makeup/masks, costumes, props, and decor. Better direction with overall event theming within the park would be nice too.

It'd be great to see the haunted houses/scare zones ramp up the intensity. I'm excited to see what "Slaughterhouse" will be like.

Two words: Topless zombie-ettes...

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

The show lineup looks to be similar to last year with The Edge of Madness: Freak Show (this year's subtitle) at Red Garter, Spooky Shenanigans at Lusty Lil's, Sideshow: A Carnival of Magic at Jack Aldrich and Skeleton Crew at Celebration Plaza.
