I'd like to see how they'd theme the trains for that

Mini Sopwith Camels and Snoopy as your Co-Pilot.

Don't think I've seen any night pics of the new paint job yet.

Going back to the concept of a midway retheme along with PHP.

A formula V themed midway if they keep up some of Cedar Fairs recent theming quality (thinking Carowinds with their Areo themed area) could be really cool.

Corkscrew and power tower would fit right in I would think too.

Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

DJ, including Power Tower would be ideal especially if it would include a paint job of sorts. I'm visiting all this week and to my old eyes the red and green spikes/poles/towers or whatever you call each one are very faded, so much that it is difficult at a glance to distinguish between them. If they could incorporate that dark gray and brighten the green/red it would be sweet.

Can't wait for someone to tell us that those are 6 different colors of gray because the light is hitting some and not others.

It will be themed after the TV series.

Lash beat me to it. For some period of time V was my favorite thing as an 80's kid.

For all the "Formula V" air-racing peeps, a quick look shows that this class of air racing has been classified as "defunct" for some time. In other words, not only is it something no one has ever heard of (unless your grandpa was into air-racing, I guess), it's something that doesn't even exist anymore.

That said, I like the air-racing idea. A lot, actually.

When it was just "reVVVed" the three v's already stuck out, but now with "reVVVolution" they stick out even more.

Just 9 days until the mystery is solvvved.

Promoter of fog.

I think VW bugs.

It must be the OCD in me, but the lack of alignment on "nowhere to go but back" is bothering the hell out of me, especially when this fits so much better...

VVV is the NYSE Ticker for Valvoline. Valvoline sponsors several races. Possibly Cedar Fair will announce Valvoline as a new corporate partnership.

Has Cedar Point ever really done sponsored/partnered rides?

Snake river falls was presented by Pepsi back in the day. That’s the biggest one I remember.

Funny you should say that, because there is also "Formula Vee" road racing, which is based on the original VW beetle. It still seems a bit outdated, but it's out there.

@SpeedDemon - There was also a time when the Mill Race was rebranded the "Nestea Plunge" mirroring an ad campaign from a tea company.

Well we have one of the spike support base pieces now!

You can tell by the specific shade of yellow straps they're using that Intamin is doing this project.

I really hope the "Formula V" air racing theme turns out to be close to accurate. Not only is air racing a far more appropriate concept for a roller coaster that goes vertical, but also the color scheme they seem to be going with lends itself well to the theme, especially at night. The supports will all but disappear, and the white track, if illuminated like Hangtime, could be dynamically lit as the train passes to simulate a smoke trail left behind the "plane".

They could even put a couple of pylons up to simulate a fly-through. That would be pretty cool.
