Fast Lane

Fast Lane isn't available to "everyone" at the park.

The same is true of general admission. The park has a finite capacity, and tickets are available on a first come, first served basis. Just like Fast Lane.

People who see value in it will buy them, people who don't will not.

I was just at the park this weekend and was wondering something. When did they change the Fast Lane wristbands? When I went in July and used them they were striped(red and white stripes) and this time they had a ride on them.(They were red Gemini bands.) I also saw a few people on Saturday with Iron Dragon ones, and it made me wonder.

I have planned a trip to the park at the end of september with two friends. Part of this plan was getting fastlane passes for the three of us for the Saturday we will be there. So I purchased the three passes online.

Well, one of my friends backed out, so it will just be the two of us. I shot an email to customer service asking if we could 'unregister' one of the saturday tickets and switch it to friday night (and then we will just buy one more friday night fastlane pass).

Has anyone on here done anything like this before? Do you think that this will be an issue?

Thanks!

Has Anyone been to the park this week. is a fast pass needed.?

I was at the park last Thursday (8/20). I had a friend with me that hadn't been to the park in over 10 years and we made a 6 hour drive each way to the park. To maximize our time in the park, we did buy Fast Lane. It was well worth it for Millenium and Maverick. Each of these rides had about a 45 min to 1 hour wait. With Fast Lane, we were able to ride them 10 times each (anywhere from walk on to 15 min wait). We also rode all of the other coasters, Sky Hawk, Max Air & Wave Swinger - Fast Lane WAS NOT needed for any of these - all of these were either walk on or 10 - 15 min wait (even Dragster was only 15 minutes). So, depending on how many times you want to ride the big 3 or 4 coasters, Fast Lane may or may not be considered a value to you.

I was at the park Today and it was packed, way more than usual for this time of year. I am not sure if it is the discounted tickets for pass holder friends or what. Normally this time of year Millennium is a quick line in the evening. Tonight it was an almost an hour, right up to closing. It was an hour and 45 minutes around 2 (it was posted 45 minutes, but was only running two cars and ended up being really slow) Dragster was a little better, we waited an hour and a half in the morning and a half hour to 45 minutes in the evening. Even Magnum had a half hour line in the evening.

It could have been the flawless weather. Wasn't it sunny and 75?

I think it is a combination of Michigan schools starting at the traditional after Labor Day date, the discounts and the great weather. I think the times when the week before Labor Day was a walk-on for almost everything are gone for good.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

I assume they constantly change them so people cant try to use them on different days

Thanks Steve1984. I thought that might be the case. I just happened to notice it because they had a ride on them.

I don't know if this has been pointed out or not, but the Fastlane wristbands now have barcodes on them. I never saw the barcode being scanned though. I am assuming it is for activation/registration purposes.

Well I would think they would have to change the looks of the bands.

Yes the bar-codes have been on there since I have purchased mine starting in June. Also, if you look they are all dated. That is what the workers are looking for.

I don't recall the bands being dated. The workers also just checked the color of them for the appropriate day. The day we purchased them they were purple with the Maverick name and logo. The next day we saw people with them and they were yellow. I don't know what was written on them though since I didn't get close enough to one. Worth it 100% though. Rode everything at least once and some several times in the first day alone.

They do have dates.

So, I ran into a situation where one person in our party backed out on our Halloweekends trip, so we ended up with an extra fast lane pass leftover from what we bought for Saturday!

We were thinking about using the extra on Friday night and just purchasing an extra one... do you know if Fast Lane passes are going to be used for Friday Night? I know it is a normally low-volume day anyway.

Not really sure about this, but arent those for specific days when you buy them online? You bought for Saturday, not sure you could use it on Friday, or are they not stamped with a day for use?

Yes, JW, they do have the day which they are to be used printed on them.

I got an email from customer service at CP, and they said that I could use them for any date... i just wasn't sure if fastlane was going to be operating on friday nights.
