Who even says 2014 is getting its own project?

It was me, I'm sorry, I was just kidding around.

Isn't this the area where Gemini valleyed? With this cool weather maybe CP wants to make sure they can get their equipment in there in case of another valley? OR it could be what Jeff said.

This may be off topic, but what is considered the departure lot of the hotels? I always thought the little lot by Gemini was.

Most likely this is hotels, but when did Gemini valley, was it recently or a few years ago?

Overflow parking for Breakers makes sense, but at $300 a night, who wants to be told to park out there? :) I suppose it's slightly better than the back of the Soak City lot though. Seems like for the number of days it's needed, they could use some temp queues or cones/barrels to block off part of the lot in a temporary manner. The permanent fence is rather drastic (overly dramatic costertool coming out) and will seemingly mean no one is parking in there the majority of the time. Hopefully the parking problem at Breakers will go away when they bulldoze Gold Dorms. :)

That lot doesn't connect to the breakers parking lot.

It does if you park your car there and walk to Breakers.

I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Maybe "Bon Air" guests will be made to park there. LOL

From what I have heard this area is going to be for maintenance employees. I did see maintenance vehicles parked there yesterday.

Bummer.

They've always parked over there, it's right next to carpentry/employee entrance area/ect. I used to park back there on Monster/Witches wheel days (even though we weren't supossed to bwahaha)

Um, where have I been? I didn't know you could park back here. How do you get back here? I go where they point us to go in the main parking lot. Does this fill up in the morning then? Is this the way to Soak City parking lot, too? I haven't been there yet but will this year.

We stayed at the Breakers over Thursday-Saturday. I asked the guard in the booth. It is the maintenance guys. They used to park in the hotel lots and have been moved to the gemini lot to relieve the overcrowding in the hotel lots. So it isn't intended to be overflow for hotel guests, just making more spaces available to hotel guest by keeping the maintenance vehicles out of the hotel parking areas. The guard did say we were welcome to use the remaining spaces as we always did. I did not see the lot full the entire time we were there.

3snoH un=l - keep to the far left lane as you get to the booths and tell the attendant that you want to go to the soak city lot.

I've parked back there for 20 years; rat bastards are taking things away from me piece by piece.

Because parking on the other side of the road is so far away.

Yea, unless Soak City is super busy, parking in that lot is just as good or maybe better since you don't have to cross the road.

It did look like maintenance vehicles in there so I think the mystery is solved.

I doubt the difference in the distance from the two lots to the entrance is not the issue. It's that the Gemini lot was perfectly suited for tailgate picnicking.

That's exactly why I asked! We'll be tailgating a lot to save money, at least for lunch.

I see people tailgating on the Soak City side, along the road, almost every visit.

When I park in the back, I usually end up next to Gemini. That's where I parked when I worked there. I think I just keep going that way out of habit.
