Who will get what?

I think El Dorado and Time Warp will either get sold or scraped.

OK - against my better judgement boredom has driven me to get involved in this discussion.

So for those of you who think that Villian should go to CP, I did a little crude photoshopping. I used a car in both photos to get the scale right. Also, I focused on the 2 most common rumors. Demon Drop and Oceana Stadium.

I think everyone has forgotten the actual footprint of Villian. I do not think it is likely that CF will alter the footprint of the coaster

In the first photo, part of Breakers has to go - not likely. http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee76/spitnsunshine/villan_at_CP_1.jpg

In the second photo, DT, WT, and Giant Wheel have to go. A few years ago this may have been an option, but now not likely.

Not only would DT, WT and Giant wheel have to go, but they would have to destroy the entire merchandising offices/warehouse. I don't see them doing that.

Miss Maverick07- Would you seriously want a Vekoma Boomerang at Cedar Point?

Wouldn't Dominator look great in Mantis or Mean Streak's footprint? ;) Sigh, I can dream at least!

I guess I never realized how huge Villain was. Oh well, I would rather have a nice, intense compact woodie where DT is than the Villain. Three rides that I don't think will be going anywhere except a bonfire are Raging Wolf Bobs, Villain, and sadly, Big Dipper. I really hope it doesn't happen, but I highly doubt it will be saved.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

CP is too good for any of those rides. Send them to those more proletariat parks. Mwa ha ha.

NextGen89, are you sure you want KI to get headspin? They already have face off, a boomerang coaster:)

I would love to see head spin or thunderhawk at MiA, my home park. Relatively small steel coaster with inversions, but still bigger then corkscrew - just what MiA is missing. (Magnum type ride would be better, but don't see that ever happening). No wooden coasters - they've got plenty of those. The new kid's area idea isn't bad, but the proportion of kid's rides to adult rides is pretty good now and a new kid area might make it a little too kid oriented.

BTW - why do so many people hate boomerang's? I think they are one of the most exciting rides you can go on myself.

Boomerangs suck because they're rough as h3ll. I'd love to try out one of those new lap bar-only boomerang trains though. I'd like the coaster a TON more at that point.

I honestly think Time Warp will be scrapped. Last time i was there it seemed extremely creaky and run down. Texas Twister on the other hand just received a paint job and has many years left in it. The only reason I see Cedar Point not wanting Texas Twister is so they could purchase a new one with 1. A fountain, and 2. a Giant Model.

I don't think CP will get a hand me down or at least it shouldn't. But just for the fun of it, I think Dominator could fit on the other half of Millie Island with the ride entrance behind skyhawk and part of the ride going up and around Mine Ride. It would require rerouting the midway as well.

Here's some pictures to give you an idea of what I'm talking about: http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w191/decil76/newgeminiarea.jpg

Wow, that would definitely get Mean Streak's ridership a boost even over what Maverick has already given it.

Not going to happen, but would be interesting.

eat. sleep. ride! - Coaster apparel and accessories!

Ride on, MrScott!

I tried guessing by looking at two things for each park: 1) what rides do they already have? 2) can they physically fit any of the rides? (I used Windows Live bird's eye view)

The only guesses I could come up with:

Villian (or Big Dipper but that should stay at GL somehow) going to Great America. It looks like it might fit behind Demon and Skyflyer with the entrance between skyflyer and that theatre looking building. That park only has one wooden so a wooden (or half wooden) would be a good addition.

Raging Wolf Bobs to Carowinds. It would fit behind Hurler and would be a third wooden.

I couldn't guess for any of the other rides. Most of them are direct duplicates of rides already in other parks. The only park that has both real estate and room on the roster for any of the rides is MiA. Other then Dominator (too big for that park) and the woodies, any of them would fit there. However, somehow I doubt they would all end up there. Sure would be cool though!

Once again, you're cutting away an area for employees and behind the scenes work. The particular area behind the Stockade Refreshments is the only employee cafe in the back of the park.

Unless you can figure out how to move all of that to a new location, that idea is not working.

There are very few spots around the park that don't serve a purpose. If there's a fence, there's most likely something important behind it.

I'm not saying that idea is going to happen. But, employee and support areas can always be moved if development warrants the idea. If I'm not mistaken, there was a lot of storage and "maintenance" areas where Lighthouse Point now resides.

Eventually, Cedar Point will need to start consolidating their maintenance/support areas anyways. Otherwise, they'll need to keep taking out rides to put in new ones. I know they're not out of space, but eventually things will have to shift around.

That is a fine thought for a Coaster to be made around that area, but I've said this many times about CP. We need another Water Ride, and I think it could be made close to the Mean Streak for the people that don't want to get as WET like "SRF" or "TC". If they do make one there could be a Midway for some rides and other things like food or drinks too.

^And you think GL's situation got a reaction. The uproar over that would be even more. People really like the boneville and paddlewheel themeing.

actually, boneville doesn't have to go - the new midway would be behind it. paddlewheel... yeah probably would have to go

This is how I would put it.

Time Warp by chaos

Head Spin in the back by mean streak and the other buildings

Starfish by matterhorn

Texas Twister on frontier trail

Thunderhawk replacing Disaster transport

Eldardo next to Coasters

Dino Island II replacing the ocean stadium
