Jeff's Clues

Another clue...

Exactly Jeff, that is another reason I happen to believe your getting a smaller ride next year at the Po!nt and not another coaster.

and Jeff replied...

I remember reading in a Thrill Ride! review of Power Tower, that S&S said they could build the droping tower to any height.

It does fit in with a lot of Jeff's clues.

(Ignore the "Two S&S Towers" thing. Any rocket rumors would mean 2 Gigas and 2 Launchers from Intamin :))

RIDE IT OUT!

MF: 5
WT: 0
MAG: Phh... After about 10 at once I stop counting. So take that as it is.

Some of you guys are jumping the gun here. Trust me, you won't be the first nor the last person to know the announcement. Go and enjoy a park while its still summer. You won't miss anything, I promise.
I was looking at pictures of Wicked Twister on Coastergallery.com and in one of the pictures the webmaster said " Presently, there is construction occurring by the CP Lagoons. Could the sixteenth coaster be on the way? Look for an official announcement in a few weeks!" So we might find out in a few weeks.

Ah, sarcasm. The grumpy man's wit. Care to narrow down the announcement window for us, Jeff? Surely this can't be that top secret?

If SF doesn't put the hyper at SFWoA they might as well not open next season, considering what the competition will have. This is Jeff's latest comment. I think this means something. Jeff, you need to once again "shut you hole", even though us dumb outsiders will never guess what it is.

It seems to me that Jeff may be dropping a few too many clues here. I'm begining to think he may be completely screwing with us. I hope that's not the case though, because I want to see something huge!

I would normaly agree with you Ralph, but from my little experience in the past few years on this sight, Jeff's clues have rarely led us astray.... I'm started to think this thing might actualy happen! If not, oh well I'll still be there next year (heck, I'm going to college about 1 hour away... hehe)

---------------

no day but today

You know, if I remember right, we all pretty much knew that we were getting an impulse last year by Jeff's clues, so I don't think he's really giving us anymore than he did last year because we didn't know any of the important specs. I don't think he's directed us anymore this year than last.

True, but there's something about the continous "I should shut my hole" comments that's throwing me. Like I said, I still hope he's leading us in the right direction.

I fool so feelish...

Jeff's clues are the worst kind. They're the kind that all make sense when we find out what it is. Like now, they don't make any sense, but when we find out what it is, they will perfectly make sense. *sigh*

In all seriousness whatever happened to just enjoying the season and whatever they build they will be announced in due time? I mean it is fun reading all this specualation and posting the occasional smart alecked replys but still whatever they are building we will find out soon enough.

"Shut my hole"....hmmm. Is it possible that the blue tarp in Area 51 is covering up a big hole? Maybe this *attraction* will be going underground.

You figured it out! The Blue Hole from Castallia is moving to CP.

Oh my Goodness!

*laughing my butt off*

You sounded like my grandpa for two seconds there.

Jeff,

Your "clues" haven't really been much help to me; however, I am not very good at making abstract associations. Thankfully, this thread is more about talking about what you are saying than what is actually going into the park. From what you are saying, I find it abundantly clear that Cedar Point is installing something next year. ...that's about it. I couldn't live with myself if I made up more from your words than actually exists. Such is why I am not a sociology major. :-)

That's my piece. Pretty lame, eh?

rawr!

I have a question. Isn't really the only records in dispute those that involve S:TE at SFMM? These records would be most coasters at one park (SFMM would say it's a tie, CP would say they have most) and tallest coaster in US (SFMM says S:TE, CP says MF).

If this is the case, then those would be the one's Jeff is mentioning in the "Will this new ride settle the record disputes?" in the explaination of the Area 51 forum. Although, he's not saying it will, I've never known Jeff to allow us to get our hopes up for something that would be of an extreme height when it wasn't going to be. Last year, he told people that they'd be disappointed when they were saying that 2002's coaster would be 300ft+. This year he hasn't really stopped people for speculating tall. I know that doesn't mean it's going to be that tall, because he may just let us all get our hopes up too high and be really dissappointed when the official announcement comes. However, that little question in the explaination that was added makes me think he just isn't letting us go to get dissappointed. If he was doing that, then I'd think Jeff wouldn't say things to encourage it; he wouldn't comment on it. This 2003 thrill ride, he's put a used a question to make us all ponder. Although it's just a question, it's been placed in the caption of a forum to only speculate about Area 51.

Some of you are probably thinking it's nothing in particular because all CP needs is another coaster to settle the most coasters record. Problem with this is it reads "settle record disputes." Disputes is plural. This may have just be an accidental wording, but to me it sounds like he's provoking us to think that more than one disputes may be settled, and all I can think of is the two forementioned.

Settle the height - 415ft+ height; Settle the most coasters - 16.

I probably am just using too much of my analyzing tactics causing me to get way off base.

Before I end this post I do want to post another clue that may help this analysis:

Jeff said:
"Why? Someone did the math and indicated you would need 110, and that's if it had to climb the full 400 feet. Even Xcelerator goes vertical 20 feet or more off of the ground."

Sounds to me like he's trying to tell us they could build the station a little off the ground to help them out. 20ft off the ground, 380ft up too 400ft. Well, that could also work in favor of something to break the 415ft mark. 20ft. off the ground, 400ft up to 420ft. There's been two comments that could be seen as hinting to an extreme height.
