Jeff's Clues

I live over 300 miles away(6hrs) and I see the commercials on t.v. quite a bit, So I agree with DragonsIOA, CP doesn't have to worry about the new ride getting attention.

I LIVE in IL 7 1/2 -8 hours away about 350 miles away and I have never in my life ever seen a CP Commercial. On the other hand ( a very small hand) where my parents work they do have brouchers for tickets with a $11 off discount. The only reason I think "we" have these brouchers are because Cp kicks that much butt.

ps. there might be T.V. commercials around here but I just haven't seen them.

Dippin Dots aren't they Great!!!

Look at it this way cp is in sandusky for one reason and one reason only. CP is located within a days drive of Detroit, Toronto, Cleavland, New York, Pittsburg, Chicago,Washington, Ottawa and many other don't worry they knew who to broadcast to.
Im not sure where she saw it either but she said she saw and add down there and she loved roller coasters so she made the trip all the way just by seeing this add...

Dick Kinzel said in the Discovery Channel's The World's Largest Amusement Park, that they only advertise in about only a 250 mile radius. I don't know how a person in Texas could've seen a CP commercial. The closest point in Texas to Ohio is still about 800 miles away. It's just one of those things.

Places within that radius include Chicago, Indianapolis, Louisville, Cincinnati, Charleston W.V., Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Toronto, and Milwaukee. Has anyone here beyond those areas seen a CP ad?

Yes, maybe he said that then, but it doesn't mean it was the word of God, everlasting and true. The fact that they're so thrilled with hotel occupancy this year I wouldn't be a bit surprised if they weren't going out further.

Mmm... no... I live in Houston. Texas is definetly out of CP's advertising radius. Although, there's a Six Flags commercial on every 15 minutes.

Hey Jeff, maybe you could release an offer to GTTP members: $20 (or more?) and you tell them what you know about CP '03.

Of course, it sure would be a waste of money if it turned out that you know nothing, and you are just dispersing "Jeff's Clues" to mess with us. Either way, it would support GTTP!

Even though the commercial radius may just be 250-400 miles, I would suspect the TV shows with mention of any of CP's coasters do a great job of bringing in people from outside the commercial radius. I was down in florida, visiting my cousins after going on a cruise and I was shocked to hear someone mention Cedar Point when passing a roller coaster heading back to Miami International. It turns out that my aunt's friend (who was also in the car) went on a vacation up to Cedar Point because she saw Millennium Force on TV. And she was not a enthusiast, she just enjoys roller coasters. Now how about some commercials here in New York?

Is it just me, or has this topic swayed away from its original intention.

If Jeff really does know, even I,Infamous Rob, would belly up $10-$20 to find out what it is right now. Good idea. Heck,I would even sign a secrecy agreement! :)

Maybe if we beg really hard Jeff will put up some CP commercials with permission. I am sure CP would love the free advertising, plus it is a bonus for all of those that can't see them regularly.

I think we have quite a ways to go before we see a 400ft. complete circuit coaster.

Sometimes I think height is overrated. Now speed...

... is directly related to height ... whats your point?

Well, in the world of LIMs, LSMs, compressed air, and now hydraulics (and before that, flywheels, weights, etc.), height and speed needn't be DIRECTLY related.

You know, they were supposed to build and expansion to Breakers East last year but didn't b/c of the soft economy. With hotel occupancy up I wonder it they are considering doing it this year after all?

According to who? Who said they were going to build on?

Breakers East or Breakers Express? When they built Breakers Express they said that they have space for more hotel buildings next to the original. That's probably planned for some time in the future.

Florida may have Disneyworld and Key West,
but Ohio has Cedar Point and Put-In-Bay.
It's great to live in Ohio!
