NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

I was there too on saturday and saw the freighter. I didnt think much of it at the time, other than 'theres a freighter', but there could possibly have been something on it. If only I would pay attention more.
post the pictures man.

Believe me, the track was not brought in by a ship. There are ships all the time in sandusky bay and 75 percent of them are full of coal.

Without a doubt the track will come by ship to the east coast where the containers will be put on a train and then shipped to a place closer to CP. Tledo, Detroit, or Cleveland are most likely, although they can do this down the road in Bellvue even and then taken by truck the rest of the way to the park.

Welcome back Magnum riders how was your ride?

Like I said on Buzz, CP hasn't run out of names beginning with "M"....oh the agony!

Anxiously awaiting Jeff's update.....

Model coasters and rides

I am sooooo good. Remember my post in the other topic about the colors? One part red, one part white, and one part blue? Well look who's talkin! lol. All the signs look like they're pointing that way, which would be AWESOME!

About the dueling coaster thing, it's so funny how everybody on this site and coasterbuzz can get off on some crazy prediction, that everybody else catches on. Sheesh!

A dueling rocket coaster is just plain stupid IMO. Thats like Bill Gates owning a part of an amusement park...;)

Wow! All this seems to be happening so fast. For me to believe this, I'll need pictures but this alone is really getting me excited!

So about the coaster...

The whole red, white, and blue colors sound very fitting. A coaster maybe themed to patriotism in some way would add a nice touch to the park. Why not even an american/drag racing theme?

When You drive into CP parking lot just around the gate look to your left it almost looks like a boat dock but it is just a guess.
Wouldn't a 420' red, white and blue anti-tophat look a bit like a rocket pop, or whatever they are called?

Chief Wahoo Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Rainbow Streak? Next thing you know Cedar Point is going to be accused of supporting the gay agenda...Not that there is anything wrong with that!

ROTFLMAO, you watched Sienfeld(sp?) last night didn't you?

Anywho, this is GREAT news seeing as how i'm heading out to CP next summer, maybe even sooner (October). I can't wait to see the layout of this beast.

EDIT: I put the wrong quote in and realized it.

This is great news, but it kind of floors me at the frequency CP has added world class coasters in the past decade. Not that I'm complaining but coming from Kennywood country, the native CP'ers seem spoiled. But, we don't have a bad crop of coasters either :)

The bicentennial theme seems right and would be a good and different sight on the skyline. I'm excited!

Just in case this wasn't posted yet. Wow! Looks amazing! This IS really happening!

I'd just like to thank all of you who are down there getting all of the info and pics. I'm 3 1/2 hours away and i feel like i am right there. All the speculation still, is very entertaining. Intamin track on Po!nt and we still have some outrageouse, but interesting ideas. One question for all of you though.

HOW AND THE HELL AM I SUPPOSED TO GET ANY SLEEP NOW?! :)

When you visit CP, visit my Mill, est. 1835

I could just be too judgemental, but looking at Xcelerators ride video and pics from twisted rails, I sure hope CP's version is longer,Xcelerator looks like it last less than 30 seconds in the video. I'm sure CP's will be faster and higher, but the length kinda bothers me, maybe it was the way that video was edited but it just seemed too short, intense mind you,but still lacking in length. I really think it may have been an experimental prototype for CP's,at least I hope so.

So, it really IS going to be a restaurant after all. I love the new elevator track they're going to use to get to the top...

LOL!

Hey, I heard a rumor that Millenium Force is sinking... (no, it just looks tiny compared to the new ride!)

Holy shnikes!! I'm very surprised that CP has track for the new ride sitting behind Mean Streak, right next to Perimeter Road! It's especially curious considering all of the secrecy that surrounded the MF track as it sat in the old boneyard in '99. They certainly don't seem too worried about keeping it a secret this time around! I think that this will definitely attract some unwanted attention to that area as anyone can just roll up to the new track and have a look!
