NEWS FLASH!!!! Track and supports sighted

Ah yeah, to me it sounds like Jeff has just hinted that it will not be a dueling coaster, but instead a multicolor track ride so all will see it. (Most likely standing higher then MF)

Perhaps a red white and blue tophat. Whatever the case were getting a new Intamin coaster, with different track color and supports. That's about all we really know, the rest is speculation. I would have to say no racing coaster.

This second hill is my favorite part of the ride. It is so Cool!

Whatever it may be, I'm sure CP has another winner on it's hands.

Three Intamin coasters since I've been there? I need to get back.

Mean Streak, Blue Streak, Rainbow Streak? Next thing you know Cedar Point is going to be accused of supporting the gay agenda...Not that there is anything wrong with that!
The track just may have a patriotic theam but not for the reasons that people here think it will be for. The a portion of land that was part of the north west territory became a state in 1803 this state was called Ohio. This ride will be opened in 2003 or on the 200th year that this state has existed. CP has a history of doing patriotic theams. (cork screw) It is realy not a suprise if they do another one if the state that their located in turns 200.

Check out my RCT site at home.neo.rr.com/twisterdm

I now remember someone bringing up the point that next year is Ohio's bicentennial and the new ride may have something to do with it. And since CP has the barn with the bicentennial painting for their County, it all makes sense now!

Celebrate good times, Come on!

Certainly good news. I don't care what the stat's are, I have to start persuading my parents for another trip to CP next year!

Very good news indeed...

The multiple track color thing doesn't weird me out that much, but different colored supports? The only thing I can think of is that they'll possibly use the tan supports in the forested areas for a less intrusive looking ride...

Guys what type of Intamin track is it?

As if there is any other kind these days..... That would have to be the tried and true Intamin Box Truss Type of course.

Just read this thread...Grrrrrrreat! A new Intamin ride. I hope it is great. Interesting color concept, too.

So what's better; skydiving or riding in Raptor's front seat?

I think he meant what I meant earlier ... is it curved at all? overbank turn track? straight track? hill track?

Oh, like as in, what types of track pieces are seen on site? Curves, twisting elements, top hat pieces, etc, etc...

Yes, I am curious too.

Time is going to slow now for me.
there were rumors in the past of a racing/dueling rocket coaster (as mentioned) but themed to drag racing.
Oh.. Announce it already~!

Yeah, but it really doesn't matter at a park that's opened year-round like Knott's.

True..True...When did they announce MF. I remember checking here for updates, but can't remember anything for the life of me when the info began to flow.

In the middle of July is when Millennium Force was announced.

The closest I'll ever get to riding a B&M Flyer is looking down while on Raptor... :(

All that I have to say is on 8-17 (a Saturday) I was at the park. Well my dad and I rode the train 1 1/2 times just to go all the way around and stop back at Mean Streak. Well I think on the second time around from Milly's side my dad and I saw a (barge, Frater(sp?) ) with what looked to me as "WHITE" supports or something on it. As we took the turn into the MS staion. Well I got 2-3 pix of it with a throw away Kodak Camera. Well all that I am saying is that it could be I just don't know. Also I was just stoked to see that LARGE of ship GET THAT CLOSE TO CEDAR POINT.

well if this helps or not it is up to you to decide.
